Seven Reasons Why You Should Consider Donating Blood Today 🩸🩸🩸

1. Saving lives: Donating blood can help save lives. Every two seconds, someone in Nigeria needs blood, and one donation can potentially save up to three lives. By donating blood, you are making a direct impact on the well-being of others.

2. Medical emergencies: Blood transfusions are vital for individuals who experience medical emergencies such as accidents, surgeries, or childbirth complications. By donating blood, you are ensuring that these medical procedures can be carried out successfully and that patients have access to the blood they need.

3. Blood supply shortages: Blood banks often face shortages, especially during times of increased demand or emergencies. By donating blood regularly, you help maintain an adequate supply of blood, ensuring that it is readily available for those in need.

4. Simple and safe process: Donating blood is a relatively quick and safe process. The actual donation usually takes about 10-15 minutes, and the entire appointment, including screening and recovery time, usually lasts less than an hour. Blood donation centers follow strict protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of donors.

5. Health benefits for donors: Donating blood can have positive health benefits for the donors themselves. It stimulates the production of new blood cells, which can help maintain overall cardiovascular health. Additionally, before donating blood, medical professionals conduct a mini-physical, which includes checking your blood pressure, pulse, and hemoglobin levels. This can provide valuable information about your health.

6. Free health screening: When you donate blood, you receive a free mini-physical, including a check of your blood pressure, pulse, and hemoglobin levels. This can serve as an early detection measure for various health conditions, allowing you to seek further medical attention if necessary.

7. Giving back to the community: Donating blood is a selfless act of kindness. By giving blood, you are directly contributing to the well-being of your community and helping those in need. It is a powerful way to make a positive impact on society and help individuals who may be going through challenging times.

Overall, donating blood is a simple yet impactful way to save lives and contribute to the well-being of others. Considering the constant need for blood, your donation can truly make a difference in someone's life.🩸🩸🩸

1. Hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN) used to be a major cause of fetal loss and death among newborn babies.

2. There is anemia in the affected fetus or child associated with nucleated red blood cells (NRBCs) in the neonate’s blood.

3. At birth, the child is not severely jaundiced because of the placental clearance system, but jaundice may worsen rapidly and produce kernicterus if not treated promptly.

4. Exchange transfusion may be required soon after birth to prevent kernicterus. Fresh blood should be used.

5. Phototherapy may augment bilirubin breakdown and avoid the necessity of exchange transfusion in mild cases.

HOW TO SELECT YOUR BABY'S S*X.

S***m cells are either X or Y.

The Egg cell is always X. If X-S***m cell meets the egg(X) the baby will be a Girl (XX). If Y-S***m cell meets the egg(X), the baby will be a Boy (XY). The Y-S***m cells move fast but die fast (its lifespan is about 24hrs). X-S***m cells move slowly but survive longer (up to 3-4days).

Therefore, if you have in*******se some days before ovulation, most of the Y-S***m cells would have died leaving mostly X-S***m cells to fertilized the egg

Here's a simple way to calculate your ovulation period.

1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.
2. Pick up a calendar and count 15 days including the first day of the blood stain.
3. Mark the 15th day with a pen.
4. Mark 3 days before the 15th day, and mark 3 days after the 15th day.
6. You will notice you have 7 days marked.
These 7 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period.
That is if you have s*x on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant.
7. Do this every month diligently
For Example
1. If your period is 11th July, ,
2. 15 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 25th of this July too (2weeks after) counting from 11th.
3. 15th day is on the 25th July
4. 3days before the 15th day is 22, 23, 24.
5. 3days after 25th July is 26,27,28.
6. 22-28th July (7days) is when you are ovulating. It is your fertile period.
**Don't forget that the 4 days is a reminder that s***m stays in the female body for about 4 days. Any s*xual contact in between ovulation period will form something ...
If you want a baby girl, have
s*x between 3 days before ovulation (22- 24th)
Female s***m swim slowly but can stay inside woman body for days without dying off,

For a baby boy on the main ovulation day and 3 days after 25th.(26,27,28)
Male s***m swim very fast but will get weak and die off if no egg found for a while leaving female s***m to finish the job ...........
MAJOR SIGNS THAT YOUR OVULATION HAS BEGAN...

You don't need a doctor, just relax. After 2 weeks you may feel the following:
1. Headache.
2. High body temperature.
3. Dizziness (feeling of tiredness and sleepiness).
4. Breast tenderness/ size increases just like when you are menstruating.
5. Increased s*x drive.
6. Light cramps or pain on one side of the pelvis.
7. Abdominal bloating.
8. Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision (you eat more).
9. Va**na mucus becomes slippery (if you notice, put it in between fingers...it stretches like thick catarrh or snail mucus...colorless like egg white. ..........
N/B: The instance here is for ladies with 30 days cycle. And someone who saw her period in July . If yours is 28, then it's 14 days and not 15 days.

Copied.

🏥BLOOD TYPING 🩸

Blood typing is a method to tell what type of blood you have.

Blood typing is done so you can safely donate your blood or receive a blood transfusion. It is also done to see if you have a substance called the Rh factor on the surface of your red blood cells.

Blood is often grouped according to the ABO blood typing system. The four major blood types are:
-TYPE A
-TYPE B
-TYPE AB
-TYPE O

Foods To Avoid If You Have Stomach Ulcer

There are foods you need to avoid as an ulcer patient and it is very important to identify those foods. Furthermore, it is not just enough to identify them, but you should endeavour to stay away from these foods. A stomach ulcer patient, you need to understand what causes ulcer and the pains that come with it. We will briefly describe them in this article before talking about foods you should stay clear of.

A Little Information On Stomach Ulcer
WebMD describes Peptic ulcer disease as painful sores or ulcers in the lining of the stomach or first part of the small intestine, called the duodenum. Yes, it can be really painful. I know because I have seen people suffer from it.

This article does not intend to treat your ulcer. I suppose you must have seen a medical doctor that confirmed you have an ulcer and probably has medications for it — as well as dos and don’ts. This will help you manage your peptic ulcer. What we intend to do here is show you foods you should avoid if you are a peptic ulcer patient. Of course, and why you should avoid them.

Which Foods Should Ulcer Patients Avoid & Why?
Depending on the cause of the ulcer, the foods that bring up the symptoms may be different amongst individuals. Patients only need to be observant and watch out for the symptoms when they eat any of these foods. The following are the foods you should limit or avoid totally if you can;

Coffee and Carbonated Beverages
A study from the “Medical Clinics of North America,” reported in July 1991 revealed that coffee (caffeinated and decaffeinated) and tea should be avoided because they stimulate acid production and can cause indigestion, especially in individuals with stomach ulcers.

Alcohol
The year 2000 in the “American Journal of Gastroenterology”, confirmed that consumption of alcohol increases gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), which is known to aggravate stomach ulcers. Alcohol can irritate and erode the lining of the stomach and small intestine. Avoid alcohol.

Other foods you should avoid include,
Spices and seasonings such as garlic powder, black and red pepper, hot chiles and peppers etc.
Dairy foods (foods made from whole or skim milk)
Onions and garlic
Tomato products; tomato paste, tomato sauce, or tomato juice

Watching the foods you eat is as important as taking your medication when you have an ulcer. This helps the healing process. You don’t want to be using drugs that heal the ulcer and still eat foods that aggravate the ulcer. This is counterproductive.
