Bishop Sunday Onuoha joins family and friends to celebrate the remarkable milestone of Senator Orji Kalu's 64th birthday.

According to a statement released by the Methodist Bishop and President of Vision Africa, Senator Kalu's unwavering dedication to public service, and his tireless efforts in advancing the welfare of his constituency, and the nation at large are truly commendable.

He described the former governor of Abia state, and currently, the senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, as a leader dedicated to serving the people and whose commitments to community development, and nation building are commendable and deserving of recognition and celebration.

The statement further reads, "As we reflect on his achievements and significant leadership we are inspired by his vision and commitment to making a positive impact, both locally amongst his constituents, and nationally across Nigeria's political lanscape.

On behalf of myself, my family, and Vision Africa, I extend our warmest wishes to Senator Orji Kalu on this special occasion, and pray for many more celebrations in good health.

Urgent Call for Improved Civilian-Military Relationships

It is with grave concern that I address the recent squabble between some officers of the Nigerian Army and the staff of Hotel Royal Damgret Umuahia, that resulted in the death of one of its managers, while in custody.

This incident is, unfortunately, a distressing reminder of a failing system, needing urgent and enhanced civilian-military relationships to prevent further misunderstandings, and promote peace within our communities.

How the tragedy at Damagret Hotel was mismanaged and subsequently degenerated into disorder underscores the critical importance of open dialogue and understanding between the Nigerian Army and civilian communities they serve and protect. It is evident that such incidents are avoidable with proactive measures aimed at fostering mutual respect and cooperation.

May I strongly advocate that the Nigerian Army urgently implements an open-door policy for civilian-military relationships, providing civilians with accessible avenues to engage with the military, seek clarification on matters of concern, and report grievances. Where such policies already exist, then I implore that they be resuscitated with intention and actually implemented.

At this time in our nation building, we should prioritize dialogue and transparency in our interactions. The Nigerian Army, as well as other security agencies, should continue to commit to fostering an environment of trust and cooperation, prevent further misunderstandings, and build a stronger, more harmonious society for our communities.

I call upon all stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and military personnel, to sincerely support this initiative and work collaboratively towards resolving conflicts peacefully.

BISHOP SUNDAY ONUOHA CELEBRATES FORMER PRESIDENT OBASANJO AT 87.

The president of Vision Africa rejoices with former Nigerian president Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Ogunboye Aremu Obasanjo GCFR on the occasion of his 87th birthday, March 5th, 2024.

The Methodist Bishop lauds the sterling service the celebrant has provided to Nigeria both as Head of State(1976-1979) and Democratically elected president(1999-2007) and the world at large. Describing the former Nigerian president as a true citizen of the world" and an international statesman who has contributed to the liberation movement that got independence in Angola, Zimbabwe and worked tirelessly to end apartheid in South Africa.

According to Bishop Onuoha, former president Obasanjo is a man with boundless energy, with razor sharp mind, and one who does not suffer fools gladly. The Bishop said working with Obasanjo was a school in itself, and the lessons learnt are worth their weight in gold.

Bishop Sunday Onuoha prayed God grants Obasanjo long life as well as good health so that we can continue to tap from his fountain of knowledge and experience as an elder statesman and global leader.

Prayer For Nigeria and Africa - Bishop Sunday Onuoha to Christans All Over The World.

Bishop Sunday Onuoha has urged Christians in other parts of the world to pray for Nigeria and Africa considering the current economic situation in Nigeria and the African continent.

Bishop Onuoha who is also the president of Vision Africa stated this while speaking at the just concluded National Religious Broadcast conference in United States of America. The National Religious Broadcast conference is the world's largest gathering of christian communicators which is an annual event.

He noted that if Nigeria crashes due to insecurity, unstable democracy and economic hardship, there is no country anywhere in the world that can accommodate the over 230 million Nigerians.

While speaking as a speaker and panelist at the conference, Bishop Onuoha emphasized on the importance of Christian leaders to live a life worthy of emulation. According to him, for the gospel of Jesus Christ to move forward, Christian leaders must be held accountable and responsible for their actions.

He called on Christian leaders to focus on gospel that are translated into social action because the gospel of Jesus Christ should not be detached from the daily lives of the people.

He also urged Christian leaders not to be intimidated with the growing increase of younger generation who are coming up to take over from them rather they should encourage younger generation who have subjected themselves for tutelage to take over from them.

The 2024 edition of National Religious Broadcast Conference was attended by Prof Chuck Po***ck, Gordon Robinson, Jack Graham, Natalie Jones and over four thousand persons in the United State of America and from all over the world including the former president of America, Donald Trump who was one of the speakers at the conference.

Birthday: Bishop Onuoha Celebrates Gov Otti @ 59, Describes him as a committed leader

The President of Vision Africa International, Bishop Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha has congratulated the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti OFR on his 59th birthday today, February 18th, 2024.

Bishop Onuoha in a congratulatory message personally signed by him to the Governor, he described Otti as a committed leader, God sent to Ndi Abia.

He noted that Governor Alex Otti has remained focused to his dreams and aspirations, pointing out that those dreams have started manifesting through his massive infrastructural development, as well as his zeal to reposition Abia State.

While wishing the Governor long life, garnished with good health and protection from God, Bishop Onuoha prayed that Otti would live to fulfill his life time aspirations.

The Methodist Bishop also encouraged the State Chief Executive to remain steadfast and should not allow political praise singers to distract him.

According to Bishop Onuoha, the testimonies from different strata of people in Abia State attest to the fact that the Governor has really brought help to Ndi Abia and wished him well and more years of celebrations.
