Lockdown ft. Henry Solomon & Reinier Baas

The Novi Orchestra presents Lockdown!

We’ve been really busy the past few weeks putting this song together from all corners of the planet, and we’re finally ready to share it with you!

We were fortunate enough to be joined by Henry Solomon on saxophone and Reinier Baas on guitar, as well as guest vocalists Anna Serierse, Isla van Hout and Laura Dooge.

A special thanks to Ido Zilberman for doing an epic job with the production, mixing and mastering and Ryan J. Smith for editing the music video.

Whilst these are perhaps the strangest times many of us will have experienced, and for musicians some of the most difficult times, we feel it’s important to not give up and to turn the confusion and frustration into something good.

Lockdown (Teaser Trailer)

Introducing, The Novi Orchestra.

We are a newly formed big band, based in Amsterdam and led by arranger and composer Alisdair Pickering.

Sadly, many of our plans regarding recording and performances were thwarted due to the current situation.
Regardless, we decided to get together digitally and produce a song fit for these truly perplexing times, accompanied by guest vocalists and two very special guest soloists.
