Today, 25 June, is Day of the Seafarer. We are pleased to put the spotlight on all our seafarers. A big round of applause to all our crew members who keep our fleet running around the clock.

Tomorrow is Global Wind Day. Every year, on the 15th of June, we celebrate the power and the possibilities that wind energy offers. It's also a day for people to learn more about wind and this important form of energy. Spliethoff is proud to be part of the renewable industry, and has an excellent track record in the transportation of regular main components and the installation of components for the onshore and offshore wind markets around the world.

šŗ On Friday 24 November 2023 Spliethoffās MV Bloemgracht was festively christened in Batam, Indonesia š¾š„! The Christening was performed by Ms Kimberly Valk, daughter of Spliethoffās Mr Hans Valk, who stood at the foundation of the B-type vesselsā capabilities some 20 years ago. The christening ceremony was attended by a select group of guests, among whom were the crew of sister vessel MV Brouwersgracht, which was berthed in the same port.
This photo of our Dynamogracht entering Sydney is absolutely stunning. The Dynamogracht is carrying a combined cargo. On deck are yachts, a cargo from Sevenstar Yacht Transport and below deck project cargo for the new Sydney Fish Market. Another great example of the synergy within the Spliethoff Group.
MV Flevogracht was spotted sailing upbound at Detroit, Michigan a while ago.
We are happy to announce that m.v. Bloemgracht has been delivered from Fuzhou Mawei shipyard to Spliethoff Group today, 11 August 2023 at 14:15 (CHN time). The series of two identical DP2 B-type vessels is now complete.

We are still reminiscing! Last Saturday we held the Christening of our first DP2 B-type ship, the Brouwersgracht in Amsterdam. The Christening ceremony was carried out by Mrs N.E. Spliethoff, granddaughter of Johan Fredrik Spliethoff, the founder of the company. The christening ceremony was attended by a large party of guests, among whom many employees. After the ceremony the guests were given the opportunity to visit the vessel. Captain Boode received the official port shield of the port of Amsterdam, through Ants Tilma, official of the port of Amsterdam.

M.v. Brouwersgracht ā the first of two Spliethoff DP2 B-type vessels ā has been handed over from Fuzhou Mawei shipyard to Spliethoff Group on 1 February 2023.

Sister vessel m.v. Bloemgracht will be delivered in about three monthsā time.

Our Diamantgracht has Finnish/Swedish class 1A, which means that she can sail through 0.8 meters thick ice. That is why our D-type vessel is a perfect fit for transport to and from countries with ice-packed waterways.

Spliethoff and BigLift Shipping start 2023 with combining offices in Japan. As a result of the synergy that exists between Shipping and , more and more of its representative offices worldwide combined forces. After USA, UK and China, Japan follows with a joint Spliethoff / BigLift office in Tokyo.
Our Tokyo representatives are Kenichi Kikuchi and Ryusuke Miyagawa.
This joint BigLift/Spliethoff office in Japan will offer our customers a wide range of vessels to suit their transportation requirements.

Our Story
Established in 1921, Spliethoff operates a fleet of about 50 modern, Dutch flagged, 1A ice-classed, multipurpose vessels, ranging from 12,000 to 23,000 DWT.
All vessels are equipped with removable tweendecks and cargo cranes with capacities up to 360 tonnes in tandem lift. The fleet is constantly being renewed.
