Het is ontstaan toen Wesley Texel (Dj WaxFiend) inspeelde op het gebrek aan een platform voor moderne Dancehall & Reggae muziek in ons land. Our Story
Jamrock is al ruim 12 jaar het toonaangevende Reggae en Dancehall feest in Nederland en Europa. Het is ontstaan toen Wesley Texel (Dj WaxFiend) inspeelde op het gebrek aan een platform voor moderne Dancehall & Reggae muziek in ons land. Sinds de eerste avond in de Brasil Bar in 2005 is dit een succes geweest en in de jaren erna bleek hoe groot de vraag hierna was. Samen met F&L (Partysquad, toen partners in Jamrock) is het snel uitgegroeid naar evenementen in de Paradiso, vervolgens de North Sea Venue en staat nu bekend als Europa’s grootste Dancehall en Reggae feest met meer dan 3000 bezoekers.
De kwaliteit van de producties bij Jamrock zijn ongekend in de Dancehall/Reggae en Urban scene. Ook worden de evenementen enkel op top-locaties door het land gehost (Paradiso, North Sea Venue, Watt, Atak). Het boeken van internationale top dj’s en de nieuwe generatie Dancehall artiesten is ook een trend die gestart is door Jamrock. In combinatie met de uitgebreide promotie campagnes, beste dj’s & mc’s uit het land (Dj Jah, Dj MBA, Maikal X en later Kalibwoy, Dj Drivah & Suppa Kid) en de betrokkenheid bij de scene dmv de wekelijkse radioshow en samenwerkingen met artiesten is Jamrock erin geslaagd de leider te worden en blijven als het gaat om Dancehall feesten in Nederland en zelfs Europa!
