Meet one of the verified winegrowers on our platform: I Magredi! The I Magredi vineyard has been run by the Tombacco family since 1968. Magredo means “poor soil”: it is poor because it is covered with a layer of weeds and bushes that require small quantity of water and are suitable to live in an extremely dry and permeable soil. Thanks to the poorness of the soil and the temperature variation, they can obtain grapes with a great aromatic complexity and freshness.

The Losi family are Tuscan winemakers that have carried on their passion and tradition for five generations. Their winery is located on 22 hectares which used to belong to the Carthusian monastery of Pontignano. Nowadays, the winery is run by cousins Pietro and Paolo.

The Grenache grape is known for it's fruity flavour profile, in combination with a hint of spice. Little known fact about this grape is that in the 17th century, Burgundians secretly blended Grenache from the neighboring Rhône region to improve the flavor of their Pinot Noir red wines.
