Thanx to the very swift delivery of this fancy hatcher from Nature2aqua Fischzucht & Aquaristik I need to put in even more effort on feeding the L470s so I can get some new eggs from them again soon to try out in this hatcher. The L470 eggs have bern notorious hard to get an acceptable hatch rate or just even to hatch at all most of the time…

Last week it was the zebra that was collected and split ut, today it was time to catch some Pecoltia compta L134. Collected a total of 32 P. Compta fry varying from 2 to 5 cm SL and moved them to their own grow out tank… At the same time the adults got a little update on their hardscape.

Splitting up a grow out group and putting them into three different tanks, two for the zebras and the three L470s will move into the L470 grow out tank. The largest L470 is already 7-8 cm SL

The postman popped by with a small group of 2+4 Poecilia wingeii (El tigre, 2013) yesterday. Shouldn’t be too long before they have filled up the entire tank on their own.
