SPACE. Have you ever been to Bad Schallerbach? It is a small place in Austria well known for its hot springs. People are looking for well being and recreation there. And that is why I think it will be a perfect setting for a solo show. I like the intimacy and closeness to the audience when it's just me with the piano on stage. Performing live always creates a space in which musician and audience meet and I am very excited to feel this space in Bad Schallerbach on August 13.

MIDSUMMER NIGHT. Since ancient times the people of the Northern Hemisphere celebrate the longest day of the year as the beginning of summer. In my childhood it was always very special to me - all the lights, the dancing, the bonfires, the people staying awake all night. Although summer begins on 22nd of June, we normally celebrate on the 23rd or 24th. And I am still looking forward to the night, when the sun is hardly sinking. I will cheer and toast! How will you celebrate summer?

GEMMAS AU! Oh Austria, you are always in my heart with your coffeehouses, your enchanting charm and your wonderful Dialekts! The concert in Weisz was the first of three shows this summer in Austria - it was energetic and entertaining, loud and silent at the same time. It was quite simply „leiwand"! My next visit to Austria will be in July. And I hope to be seeing you. Baba! 😊

SPRING FEVER. At the beginning of the year, I enjoyed the peace and the quiet. I let my mind wander and wrote some new songs. It is always an amazing process, like an immersion. And suddenly it's April, the trees are blossoming and I already did some shows. Now Spring fever takes hold of me and I look forward to the next concerts - to the cities, the great moments on the stage with you! It is always an amazing process, like an immersion. See you!

REBEKKABAKKEN

HONORED. The crime series "Tatort" is an TV-institution in Germany. Every Sunday millions of people sit in front of the screens, some even together in bars and cheer along with the various detectives. Last week the popular crime scene from Münster was shown. As the detectives were digging out the second dead body from the ground, my version of "Little drop of poison" was playing. You’re not quite sure whether it was a good combination? I loved it. The crime thriller will be available in the media library for another year - check it out!

THE POWER OF LIGHT. Especially in the end of the long winters in Norway, I love to go sunbathing. The southern sun is invigorating and is giving me strength, I immediately feel the joy of life. Of course I know that the darkness is important, chaos and creativity takes place in it - the result always surprises us in many ways. But the light makes everything shine and shows us the beauty of the world. Have a bright and lovely Sunday!

REFLECTIONS. As an artist you live many facets. Sometimes outgoing and courageous on stage. Sometimes emotional and empathic. It is a privilege to be all that and I love this. These moments are very much related to a live performance with the audience reacting. You feel the energy. Working on new songs and new projects I am looking forward to live these facets again. Although I sometimes wonder what the stage is doing to me. In April I will play some solo shows in Austria. Sehen wir uns? 😇

POODLE WINTER. And once again, it's expected to get very cold in Norway. We are truly having an unusually wintry winter this time. I like that. Perfect conditions to work focused on my projects. This year, I'll have some exciting news for my fans! However, today, on a Sunday like this, it's time to relax. I also wish you a fluffy sofa day – and it's always good to have a warm poodle with you!

MAGIC DAYS. The recent shows have been so special. Alone on stage. Just my piano, you and me. You were such a wonderful audience! I enjoyed traveling through Germany in fall, even the stormy and rainy days. Sometimes I was sitting in a car, sometimes I took a Deutsche Bahn train, always in the good company by my friend and sound engineer Christian. I love the comfort of a train, looking out of the window, having a nice talk in the Speisewagen, the rhythm of the rails. Now I'm back in Oslo. It’s already cold, and we expect some snow this weekend. Perfect atmosphere for my last solo show this year – on December, 5th, in Munich. See you in the Prinzregententheater!

LAST NIGHT in Dresden Jazztage Dresden was amazing! It was also the last show with full band for the year, remaining concerts of the year is all by myself! Can’t wait to see you in Mainz, Kreutzal, Leverkusen and Munich!

SO GOOD TO BE BACK! Austria, the country I was so lucky to call home for some years. I wrote so many songs while living in Vienna - I remember the heartwarming support I experienced here in the beginning of my career - there are so many special memories. All this comes to life when I am back on tour in Austria. We had a wonderful time in Rankweil and in Wörgl. And our next shows will be in the Wiener Konzerthaus, Posthof in Linz, Orpheum in Graz and Haydnsaal in Eisenstadt. See you there!

THE SWEETNESS OF SUMMER. I always enjoy these best days of September to the fullest. The golden light, the sweet air and the warm water of the fjord - at night shooting stars can be seen and fulfil our deepest wishes. I swim whenever I can. Oslo has some great bathing platforms, and on these warm days many Oslovians can be found by or in the water. The last days of summer will be here soon. But until then, I will take a deep dive into the fjord again. Have a wonderful summer weekend!

A NIGHT IN MINDEN marked the end of a great summer tour. Beautiful place and beautiful people. Thanks to everyone that came to our shows and made this summer special. Thanks to the band and crew - and a very special thanks to my feet for carrying me so gracefully in my various and beloved stilettos, but last night towards the end - the shoes had to go 👠❤️

SUMMER TOUR. I love this time of the year. The colors and scents of the flowers in my garden, the generosity and lushness of nature. And the relaxed atmosphere when people enjoy life. Yesterday my summer tour started in Trebgast, we had a lot of fun backstage and it was a wonderful night with warm enthusiasm in a great place.

There will be more shows at some intimate venues in Germany I’m looking forward to. We will play two shows at the famous Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival , we have been invited to the Kultursommer in Minden and we will rock the nice Waldbühne in Tübingen and Neuenstadt.

OBSESSIONS. Maybe it is really a little bit strange, when someone buys all the remaining notebooks at the airport kiosk just because the cover shows a poodle? Maybe. 😊 But sometimes on tour, I just miss the companionship of my poodle Miriam. And when we later sit by the lake and the lazy summer days open a space for just letting things flow, I happily grab one of my new notebooks and write down the first idea for a new song. What would life be without obsessions?

BEAUTIFUL YOUNG PERSONALITIES. What a joy! Together with the great Stephan-König-Trio, under the direction of Frank-Steffen Elster and the „Gewandhaus Kinderchor“ I had a wonderful show in Leipzig. We were interpreting and singing everything from my songs to Peter Gabriel via some Norwegian and Scandinavian choral music pieces. The children are such fantastic singers! It really was mind-blowing. Hanging out backstage was so much fun and it was amazing to listen to their stories and career plans. What wonderful young personalities. I wish them all the very best!

Thanks to everyone involved, it was a treat to get to do this project with you!

SUMMER SOLSTICE. The magic of the longest day of the year was all around in Emden yesterday. As you all know, I don’t drink tea. But this town in the northern part of Germany is famous for its tea culture, so I have to admit that I have enjoyed several cups of it! And this enchantment continued throughout the evening – the audience was wonderful and I had a lot of fun playing my solo show. Thank you Emden, for a special endless summer night!

There are so many wonderful places in this world. One of them is the „Palmengarten“ – palm garden – in Frankfurt. Such a gem! I was invited to play a show a the Festival of Lights in the park. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was great. And I think, we really rocked Frankfurt! 🤩My next show in Germany will be in Emden, on the 21. of June. Summer solstice. And in the North sunset can be marvelous. By the way: What do you think about my new sunglasses?
