A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Ace Institute of Management and First Avocado, a leading Business Consulting Firm, on February 7, 2024, at Ace Premises.

With mutual interest in cooperation, the two organizations signed the MoU for collaboration on guest speaker sessions, internships, placements, research collaborations and networking opportunities for Ace students.

Our journey into business consulting started with workshop sessions on strategic planning, product development and people capacity development. We used these assets such as the ‘First Avocado Original Games’ to engage our participants. Although we don’t use it as much and we have now diversified our portfolio into months and year long engagements that directly deal with strategy and operations of clients- we are obliged to give a new face via digital/online channel only because we have received much love time and time again.

Content Designer (Part-Time)

The candidate will be responsible for developing ideas and editing content for digital communication. We are not looking for a rockstar, but someone
with an intermediate understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Video Editing tools but should have creative juice.

Prerequisite: Pursuing any undergraduate degree, preferably in 3rd year.

1. Intermediate skills in Photoshop, illustrator, and Video editing but with high interest to excel by self-research (putting in extra hour to learn)
2. Possess creative instinct and a high level of accountability/ ownership of work [professionalism]

HIRING PART 1

Associate Consultant (Full Time)
Vacancy - 1

The candidate will be working directly with the client under the supervision First Avocado Director. He/She will
spearhead some aspects of the project and will also work collaboratively for direction from the supervisor (Director).

Prerequisite: MBA with minimum 3 years of experience in any industry that includes client-facing, planning, and ideating roles.

1. Should be a problem-solver attitude, a high level of accountability
2. Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing), should be able to present ideas to the client
3. Should possess excellent business acumen and a growth mindset
Note: it is not expected that the candidate will be well versed in a specific problem area, However, it may require study of knowledge hub/materials beyond
the regular work hours to keep up with discussion. This is extremely important.
4. Should be able to create structure, logical breakdown, and analysis of the problem in hand

Business Analyst (Full Time)

The candidates will be working directly with First Avocado Director. He will provide a 'support hand' to the Director
for analysis and documentation of the project task (stationed in the office). He/She may be required to assist with client visits/meetings (if needed)

Prerequisite: MBA (ongoing) who finish their class early can apply OR BBA with a minimum of 1 year of experience in any industry that includes documentation.

1. A high level of accountability and a general understanding of business. An experience in a specific industry (corporate) is added advantage.
2. Excellent communication skills (especially writing), should be able to build ideas of the team into work/excel / ppt
3. Should a growth mindset and attitude to excellence

First AvocaDO was contracted to manage the of its function into a wing – an information feeder to organizational and strategy.

This means establishing a strong in the daily dealings of its account executives and changing the engagement styles of its field force. First AvocaDO helped in creating a shared function for all account executive staff and domain-led sales strategy.

This is First AvocaDO’s first case of outside Nepal for a Delhi-based IT service provider.

Case in Point for an offshore wing providing IT-enabled services (BPO) for a UK-based firm in Nepal.

First Avocado helped in establishing work such that there is a seamless integration of onshore and offshore work activities. Additionally, all areas of customer-facing tasks including management and escalations are seamlessly stitched.

An important aspect of this case is to ensure customer service wherein there exists an operational time difference of 5 hours (between Nepal and London Office). By focusing on appropriate SLAs, notification triggers, process , and creating a collaborative problem-solving climate through tagging - the operational time delay has been managed well.

Creating in-house change experts and problem solvers in a structured manner. This comes by way of insight generated from several of our consulting exercises. Most organizations lack resources/talents/ managers who can diagnose basic issues and bring resolution in a structured way.

This is a cross-functional skill development exercise that strengthens organizational change champions and innovation-led capabilities. The sessions and coaching are delivered by seasoned consultants with a proven track record of working in international and national-level corporate interventions.

Over a period of many months, First Avocado focused on
- Process analysis, streamlining, and redesign.
- Establishing Learning and Development practices, and fostering
people development.

The Process analysis, streamlining, and documentation was conducted through tried and tested discovery exercises.
This laid the foundation for the development of performance indicators and procedural instructions.

FIRST AVOCADO worked with BGN staff over many months to explore various approaches and tactical measures (*) to identify opportunity areas.

A key consideration was to map the outcomes of this exercise
to the larger Work habits and competencies of the Ministry of
Defense, UK (*). Thus, ensuring alignment with its parent organization.
