On the 21st of June, we had our second social heading to Boulder Co. with partners, friends and children coming along, it was amazing to see everyone together. And testing their strength, solving climbing problems together and just having fun times. The next one is the 19th of July, looking forward to it 😊

Today marks the second day of Men’s Health Week and a great chance to ask yourself how am I? How has my health been this year?

Men’s health week is about taking a moment to check in with yourself to ask, am I making the best choices for myself right now, is this serving me best. This should not be looked at as just a week, it is a lifelong journey of checking in with yourself. Taking ownership and taking steps (no matter how small) to making choices that serve you and your loved ones best.

What is Men’s Health Week?

Men’s Health Week (MHW) Te Wiki Hauora Tāne is part of a global health awareness campaign marked in the USA, Europe, and Australasia. The week focuses on the health issues all men face and raises awareness of steps men can take to help address these.

Men’s Health Week aims to help you get right on top of your biggest and most important part, which is your health.

The sole purpose of MHW is to get guys to think a little more and know a little more about their health.

And to start encouraging men to take small steps that can enable them to turn their health issues around.

For one week in June each year MHW gets to remind us of all the small things we should be doing, the health routines we can understand and control.

Living longer, more enjoyable lives takes a little work, are you up for it?

When is Men’s Health Week?

In 2023 it is Monday the 12th to Sunday the 18th of June. And is around the same time every year, to help give men a gentle reminder, re-look at their health and give some useful tools to do it

Just wanted to share something personal, I (James Joseph Arman) had an amazing relationship workshop that my partner and I attended this weekend just gone. I learnt so much about myself, my partner and how to express myself in a manner that is safely received for all.

It has given me tools to use, and a way to engage in our relationship in a manner that matters to me. I feel a big step has taken place towards receiving the love I need to feel supported and valued.

Back in Mid-March Nikau Men's Group was fortunate to hold a 2-hour men’s connection circle. I just wanted to share my gratitude for those men that showed up and some for the first time in a space like that. And were open and honest with their feelings. Also, strong appreciation for NZ Spirit for making the weekend happen and a wonderful space.

We are excited to invite you to our second men's connection weekend. The theme of the weekend is all about the choice to take absolute ownership, with a special focus on relationships and anger (non- We are excited to invite you to our men's connection weekend. Through this weekend, we hope to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and of the people in your life. We want to create a safe space for men to come together, share, and learn from one another. We invite you to join us for an inspiring weekend of growth and transformation.

Through sharing and activities, we will explore the power of choice and how to use it to create meaningful relationships and find better peace with our anger. We look forward to seeing you at the weekend and starting a personal journey of self-discovery.

Heading to NZ Spirit for an outstanding Men's Connection And Emotional Circle. Be on Sunday 12th of March from 10am to 11.30am.

This is a men’s circle open to all those who identify as a man, and who are looking to connect by being heard and seen in a safe space to share. Being present through the means of authentic sharing and active listening. And with the chance to learn and grow through finding different perspectives and knowledge that may serve you for the rest of your life.

I would love to have people come along if you want to connect and share. Everyone is welcome, even if you have never been to a men’s group/circle before.
