Three new residences have been completed in St Johns, replacing the original single dwelling. 

Each of the new homes comprises three bedrooms, a garage, and a secondary living area, with a membrane deck over the garage to extend the living space. 

The façade integrates a sophisticated blend of brick and vertical cladding, complemented by louvre systems by that ensure privacy and enhance the visual depth appeal of the units. 

It is gratifying to witness the completion of another remarkable project in 2024.

Building consent has been lodged for an exciting project within Limeburners Bay development in for Aedifice Property Group

This involves transforming a heritage house into a charming café overlooking its playground. The project is designed to retain and celebrate the charm of traditional New Zealand architecture, ensuring the heritage house’s historic features are preserved and showcased.

By repurposing this historic building, a timeless space has been created that not only serves as a delightful spot for one to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee, but also as a homage to the area’s culture.

This project is a testament to our commitment in preserving heritage while fostering community and connection in our evolving neighborhood.

Townhouses with roof garden – Titirangi.

Fourteen new residences are being built in Waitakere suburb of Titirangi for Kemkar Capital.

Pushing the boundaries of typical townhouse developments, the design introduces rooftop gardens that also capture bush views of Titirangi.

Warkworth Hotel – a restoration project with heritage dating back to 1862.

Extensive research, design, and coordination culminated in the restoration and refurbishment of the building for Real Living Group. Now a 70-seater restaurant and bar, upgrades were made to ensure compliance with updated standards, including earthquake and fire safety – shoutout to Kalmar, Abacus Engineering, Holmes Aus & NZ, MEPS, and Tonkin + Taylor.

One of the significant challenges was the structural overhaul, which entailed lifting the building on jacks to install new timber piles and foundations, ensuring the structural integrity of this historic landmark.

The hotel's décor reminisces about its illustrious past, featuring original Kauri wood floors, sofas, and Tiffany lamp shades that evoke a profound sense of nostalgia.

Millbrook, a master-planned 57-unit townhouses development for
Watchman Capital, set in the elevated natural setting of Henderson, with glimpses of Waitakere Ranges.

With 2, 3, and 4-bedroom typologies, Millbrook provides options for , boasting competitive selling prices per square meter in the market.

Through meticulous coordination with PJM Project Management Ltd, AMX Structures and Measured Consultancy, with construction undertaken by Watchman Residential, the development was successfully completed within the allocated time and budget even amidst the challenging times faced by the New Zealand construction industry.

Working closely with Greenwood Associates and urban designer Will Thresher, Millbrook fosters a community of easily maintainable, affordable homes with appealing aesthetics.

Kōkōwai in Hobsonville Point emphasizes aesthetically pleasing and affordable homes.

The combination of cladding includes Dimond Roofing Solar-Rib vertical cladding in grey friars and Titania colours, alongside the Origin range from The Brickery featuring Chiffon and Crevole tones with concave grey friars mortar, laid in a stretcher bond pattern.

The design also incorporates powder coated Altus NZ Limited windows and matching aluminium balustrade louvres.

Halfmoon Bay terminal emerges as a captivating ferry pier, meticulously crafted for Auckland Transport.

Danpal's translucent panels create a mesmerizing interplay of colours, seamlessly blending with the natural vista. Offering uninterrupted views of the bay, visitors are welcomed to immerse themselves in the tranquil waterfront setting.

Carefully positioned unclad areas mitigate sound reverberation and offer occasional shelter from harsh weather conditions. Concealed LED strip lights in the handrail and at eave level enhance the pier's ambience, casting a gentle glow reminiscent of lanterns.

At night, the pier transforms into a distinctive beacon, marking its role as a departure and arrival point.

This commercial development of nine buildings was for Synergy Properties, located in East Tamaki.

A café fronting Smales Road features a façade with louvers, which adds a play of shadows inside the building. Interior materiality is a combination of exposed steel truss and timber.

Large warehouses, offices, and showrooms of varying architectural forms follow different functions they are for.

Selo is located on the edge of the Glen Eden township, Auckland. The well master-planned development comprises of 236 residential townhouses along with communal amenities and a commercial precinct. This development was awarded with two awards at the Property Council New Zealand Awards.

We are proud to have completed master planning, concept design, Fast-Track resource consent, building consent, and site administration for our client Aedifice Property.

Located in the Whitford Manor Estate, Auckland, we have designed 17 one, two, and three bedroom apartments across two separate Manor Buildings. These are large, premium units designed to provide a relaxed, low maintenance lifestyle without sacrificing any of the luxuries of a traditional home. ⁠

With the Whitford Manor Block interior design, we focused on each apartment to have generous proportions and luxurious features such as a study, scullery, island kitchen, separate laundry, and walk-in-robes. ⁠

The interior material palette is light and airy with a touch of timber for warmth. The gable roofline on the top floor allowed for raking ceilings to the main living areas which enhances the feeling of spaciousness created by the fresh palette and simple, modern lines. ⁠

We have designed a specific plan for each of the Whitford Manor Blocks that position the units to the outer edge of the building to maximise outlook and sunlight. This includes generous covered balconies that capitulate the country living views and connecting to surrounding lush landscaping.

Situated in Henderson, Auckland, this 72-unit development comprised of 2 and 3 bedroom townhouses over 2 stages.
Stage 1 - Cherry Lane are KiwiBuild homes while Stage 2 - Orchard Lane are open market homes.

We are proud to have completed building consent documentation and site administration for our client Aedifice Property Group alongside Hero International, CIVIX, Greenwoods Associates, and Kingston Partners.

The architectural form of the 3-bedroom terrace is derived from the third bedroom positioned in the upper-level roof space.
This is paired with the 2-bedroom typology which has the roof form in the opposing direction to create a sawtooth aesthetic. The predominant cladding is brick veneer that anchors the base of the building and wraps the upper-level front facades. The vertical weatherboards create variation of colours and textures. This juxtaposition is also reinforced by the stepped façade.

We are proud to have completed 27 new apartments in West Auckland with our client Phoenix Property. These are Homestar 6 designed and certified by BDG Architects.

Crosties Crescent’s Concept Design and Building Consent was accomplished by us at BDG. We were lucky to work alongside @/emphasishomes the builders, @/thldesigngroup as structural engineers, @/candor3 for civil engineering, @/cartersnz as truss engineers, and more amazing people!

These homes are constructed using a mix of Metro Pnael and Panelised steel frame structure to help expediate the design and construction phase.
