What is a benchmark?
Benchmark is a great opportunity to focus on and test your strength!
We have 2 main lifts (one UB & one LB) we will work to improve over the next 9 weeks, that being our Military press and Barbell back squat.
Why Benchmark?
Strength Training is important not only for your performance but for living a healthy lifestyle!
During Benchmark we will work through 4 Phases while working to increase your strength and lean muscle mass.
Phase 1 - Familiarisation
Phase 2 - Volume
Phase 3 - Refine
Phase 4 - Peak
During Phase 1 we will have our initial strength test when you can set your benchmark. We can use this to help you prescribe weights that will see you progressively overloading and ultimately show an increase in strength when it comes to Phase 4 when we re-test on the same movements!
