Hi!
Everyone in Auckland is welcome to invite your friends to the 25th August concert from 18:00-19:30 at Ensign Baptist Church (4 Inverary Ave Epsom Auckland), which is a concert by several Chinese musicians who are currently serving in the Auckland Youth Symphony Orchestra to raise funds for the ISMNZ and to give back to the community and promote community exchange.

Looking forward to your participation!

Hi everyone,

We are back in lockdown in New Zealand again (Day 2), hope everyone is doing alright in your bubbles and everything moving back online again.

Even though we are asked to keep physical distancing and stay home, please don’t isolate yourself emotionally from your loved ones.

Please reach out to our family of staff workers and volunteers if you are feeling overwhelmed or upset about everything that is happening right now.

We are here for you.

COVID-19 Update

We have four additional probable cases of COVID-19 linked to the new outbreak in Auckland. There is one new case in managed isolation.

The four probable cases are awaiting test results and are in full isolation. Full contact tracing has also been initiated.

The new case in managed isolation is a woman in her 50s who arrived from Islamabad via Dubai on August 7 and has been moved to a quarantine facility in Auckland.

The total number of confirmed cases is 1225, 22 of which are active. Yesterday, 4225 tests were processed, which brings the total to 502,705 tests processed overall.

The Rotorua visit of two of the four family members who tested positive yesterday has not resulted in anyone being considered a close contact.

The two family members were in Rotorua from August 8 to 11, and visited a number of eateries, details of which were not yet available. They stayed at the WaiOra Lakeside Hotel and visited the Skyline Gondola and Lodge from 4pm-6pm on August 9, and Heritage Farm and 3D Gallery from 3-4pm on August 10.

Once we have the complete list of locations, we will make that information public. We will also send out an alert via the COVID Tracer app.

Testing in our managed isolation and quarantine facilities is progressing alongside community testing.

With regard to the 4 active cases in Auckland, just over 200 close contacts had been identified, most of whom are from two work places: Americold Mt Wellington and the Dominion Road branch of Finance Now. Just over 100 of them had been contacted so far.

The Director General of Health has given an oral order under Section 70 of the Public Health act for the following people to isolate at home and not go to work until they are contacted by our National Contact Tracing service. This applies to:
- Any employees or contractors of Americold in Mount Wellington and Finance Now Dominion Road Branch in Auckland
-Any visitors to those workplaces in the last 14 days
- Any people who ordinarily live with those employees or contractors

There has been two changes to the previous level three order. The first makes it mandatory for any business or service to display a QR code for the Contact Tracer app prominently at every entry point allowing everyone to sign in via the tracing app.

Businesses will be allowed one week to download and display their QR code.

The second makes it mandatory for those leaving Auckland via plane to wear a face mask. Those who are leaving Auckland on a plane should only do so if they are returning to their usual place of residence.

The COVID-19 leave support scheme would be available for all businesses experiencing financial hardship, and applications for the wage subsidy scheme extension remain open until September 1.

The small business cashflow scheme would be available until December 31 for businesses with fewer than 50 employees. COVID income relief payment will be available for people who lose their job between March 1 and October 30 as a result of COVID-19. It’s paid at same rate as wage subsidy, for 12 weeks.
