The countdown was on for this event, with it being our first overseas conference since pre-Covid! And this took us to the beautiful island of Fiji with our good friends at Coca-Cola 🏝

3 days and nights of eventing in paradise, kicking off with the annual Awards Night, followed by a conference filled with all things sales & marketing for our 400 guests, and topped off with a couple of wonderful nights of live music and dancing under the stars!

We had an absolute blast pulling together this epic weekend and working with some wonderful suppliers over in Fiji ☀️

Recently our Uno Loco team had the absolute pleasure of once again producing the fabulous New Zealand Trade & Enterprise New Zealand International Business Awards 2023 in person and streaming live around the world.

Over 550 guests joined us at the VEC for a night full of celebrations, recognising all of this year's finalists and winners.

Working alongside the incredible NZTE team, collectively we reinforced the overall theme of a 'win for you is a win for us all'.

We feel honoured to witness the winners' stories from across our motu with their innovative businesses and passion and drive to take to on the globe!

A big ngā mihi nui to our amazing MC's Stacey Morrison and Matai Smith, along with superb support from Streamliner Productions, Urban Gourmet, HapPea Events, and photographs from our good friends at Smoke.

We’re on a journey to transform the impact of our work because we believe that good business can also be good for the planet.

Together, with our sister agency Hula Design, we are a Toitū net carbonzero certified organisation with active measures in place to continually improve our environmental and societal impacts.

This is a journey we want to share, so we welcome any questions, conversations, learnings, or collaborations along the way.

We are super proud to announce that Uno Loco took home the award for Best Business Event at the NZEA NZ Event Awards for 2023!

The win was for our mahi producing the “Announce Day” for our awesome client One New Zealand's rather large change from Vodafone to One NZ. Our full team was engaged right across the board (and right across the country) on this incredible project.

Last week, One New Zealand re-opened their Support Office in Wellington with a building blessing (Whakawātea) and a re-onboarding brand experience.

This was a special and significant day for Oneders to connect with each other, learn about the upcoming change and retire the red lanyards to update to be One New Zealand. From global to local, with one goal – their customers! Thank you for letting us share this special day with you.

Dawn this morning was a special moment for the Uno Loco and Hula teams. Hone Heke Rankin of Ngāti Whātua led a blessing, Karakia and shared breakfast to formally welcome us to our new home at 22 Pollen Street in Grey Lynn.

After two years in separate offices, navigating turbulent times, we're back together. This beautiful space will allow us to creatively collaborate and deliver even more amazing work in 2023!

On the last day of Christmas Uno Loco gave to us…A Christmas party!

On Thursday we signed off some emails, pushed in some chairs and took a moment to raise a glass to the work we and our other half Hula have accomplished this year. The past 12 days have only highlighted some of the major gigs we’ve produced in 2022 - here's to another wild year!

Just like that we reach the penultimate day of our 12 days of Christmas. And what better way to celebrate than the welcoming of the FIFA Women's World Cup Trophy and the international FIFA delegation to New Zealand for the official draw ceremony.

We were fortunate to work with our good friends at Rawstorne Studio, Event Base, NZ Story, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, Big Picture and The Great Catering Company to produce this truly memorable pōwhiri at Karanga Plaza. Bring on FIFA WWC 2023!

We're celebrating EY on the 10th Day of Uno Loco Christmas! The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program recognises and celebrates the spirit and contribution of exceptional entrepreneurs.

Not only did Uno Loco produce the luxurious black tie gala awards dinner, but our sister company Hula travelled around NZ filming the winners to produce a series of short, sharp & concise video clips shown on the night. Live award stings from our 'house' band, stunning lighting and an 18m LED screen all contributed to the must attend award night of the year 🕺

Day 9 of our UL Christmas and we want to celebrate women in rugby!

In the week leading up to the groundbreaking WRWC final, Uno Loco assisted in the delivery of four major events. The project saw a 5-day international committee meeting and broadcast, and a 3-day summit event at the Aotea Centre, all topped off with a celebration dinner at the Auckland Museum dome.

Our producers Anabelle and Liv even got to end the week on a high at the Auckland Eden Park finals! We loved seeing international audiences unite in their passion for women’s professional sport

Day 8 of our 12 days of Christmas is for 8 new hires in 2022! We’re so happy to have welcomed Taylor, Kelly, Sophia, Amber, Austin, Shannon, Mus & Olivia to the Uno Loco team 😊

We’ve made it to Day 7 of our Christmas round-up, and today we are transporting you to the Big Apple 🍎for the annual AIA Christmas Party.

This year, we brought the streets of 80’s New York to Hobsonville, and created our very own Block Party. Complete with rollerskating waitresses, street breakdancers and a live graffiti art installation from the one and only Otis Frizzell, this was a night to remember.

Day 6 - In the countdown to Christmas we celebrate - drumroll please - Countdown! We’re raising an eggnog to our green friends as we reflect on the annual Countdown Show.

To kick off the festive season, we produced a two-day expo that showcased up-and-coming products from some of NZ’s biggest brands. The Countdown show also included business and supplier updates as well as a fully hosted online experience for our virtual audience. Collectively we hosted over 1,000 people from across the country!

As the Spice Girls would say - ‘when two become one’!

For Day 5 of Uno Loco Christmas we want to celebrate Mercury’s acquisition of Trustpower’s retail business. ‘Wonderful Together’ was a hybrid event held at the beautiful Civic Theatre and broadcast to over 1000 attendees across Aotearoa. From confetti cannons and musical performances to the graphics and visual identity of the event, the Hula and Uno Loco teams created a unique celebration of the businesses histories and shared future!

Day 4 of our Christmas celebrations brings us to our four mall activations showcasing the Hyundai IONIQ 5. With a display focused on sustainability, we brought the IONIQ 5 to major shopping centres across the country.

Thanks to our friends, Riot Design, for their innovative design skills in bringing a low impact, durable yet visually impactful display to life.

As UL’s 12 days of Christmas steps into Day 3, we look back at our 3 day conference for Coca-Cola, hosted in the always beautiful Queenstown.

With back to back events across 3 incredible days and nights, we celebrated CCEP and CCO’s teams with their annual Awards night. We delved deep into conference and topped it off with an only-Coke-can-do once-in-a-lifetime celebration under the stars.

Always a privilege working with such an iconic brand - we had a lot of fun pulling this one together! Big thanks to TomTom Productions for helping us bring the WOW factor across the weekend.

We want to kick off day one by celebrating One! We were supremely proud to be part of the momentous work done this year for the Vodafone New Zealand rebrand launch across Aotearoa.

Together with our team of fantastic suppliers, we launched a colossal 131 retail and personalised business experiences, live streams, a press conference and Corporate office events. The announcement launched with an incredible XR video experience that took our audience on a journey from Vodafone to One.NZ in an innovative and spine tingling way. Huge thanks to our partners at Disguise & Rawstorne Studio.

Huge congrats to the Black Ferns on their incredible Rugby World Cup win 🏉🎉

Uno Loco had the pleasure of spending some time with the Black Ferns and the famous trophy, Nancy, as we toured NZ in the lead up to the World Cup.

From Invercargill, to Taipa, to Great Barrier Island - we hit 75 activation spots and 28,436km traveled, sharing the World Cup magic with over 11,000 school children. A reminder that behind every incredible success is the investment of time and commitment.
