An old bottle of Johnnie Walker Swing, named in honour of the way the bottle moves when knocked. First created in 1932, we estimate this particular bottle dates from the 1980s.

Johnnie Walker is a brand of Scotch whisky owned by Diageo that originates from the Scottish town of Kilmarnock, a large burgh in East Ayrshire, which is where the brand’s creator, John Walker began making and distilling the whisky in the Johhnie Walker Bond located in the town centre. It is the most widely distributed brand of blended Scotch whisky in the world, sold in almost every country, with annual sales of the equivalent of over 226.2 million 750 ml bottles in 2015 (169.2 million litres).

A 1960s bottling Dewars Ancestor Scotch Whisky. A pretty rare occurrence, but sure to be memorable.

The creation of the distinctive Aberfeldy spirit all takes place onsite, with an extra long fermentation in larch washbacks, and distillation in tall pot stills overlooking the rolling Perthshire hills. These processes create the honeyed-richness for which Aberfeldy whisky is renowned. Now popular in its own right as a single malt, Aberfeldy still makes up the heart of the Dewar’s blend, contributing its heather honey flavour to America’s best selling Scotch whisky.
