Hi everyone, UPDATE
Firstly thanks for all your kind comments & support, unfortunately we are experiencing longer than expected delays with sourcing new parts for our Chiller, partly due to holidays & partly due to suppliers, therefore we will not be opening early next week as originally planned ☹️
This is both extremely frustrating & disappointing for us & we apologise for the further inconvenience to you, our loyal customers.
We will update you again early next week with more positive news & an opening date.

Happy New Year to our lovely locals, unfortunately late yesterday our large indoor Chiller malfunctioned causing the loss of all our sausages and meats on hand, as a result of this inconvenience we will be unable to open tomorrow and for the rest of this week.
Our aim is to re-open on Monday 15th January fully stocked and ready for your custom. If we can open earlier we will let you know.

Good evening everyone, we hope you had have a wonderful long weekend with some sun at last.
Just a heads up, customers have asked for some more Boerewors sausages so today I have made some for you.
As well as the curled boerewors, I have also made small sausages of them so you can try a small amount before you get a large curl. These are made with real south african spices from a company called Crown in Johannesburg. The mixture is perfect so it is made with beef, pork and pork fat. What a great opportunity to cook them on the brai or BBQ leading up to the big game. There are no ingredients from Suzy like in 1995 in this one. 😂Enjoy 👍👍Go the mighty ALL BLACKS.

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know we have had a lot of people coming in asking for the homemade sausage rolls we shared on a post last night. It was a recipe of how to make them using our pure pork sausage meat. We have now pushed the boat out and just made some, so all you have to do is pop them in the oven at 200C for 20/25 mins bam, all done, no work to do at all, they are egg washed with our free range eggs & sprinkled with seasame seeds, so they are golden when cooked.
Happy to share the full recipe if anyone wants it. We have also made another batch of our homemade family steak and ale pies. Easy lunch/dinner or snack for the long weekend. Both are while stocks last and thank you for your support. The team at The Kumeu Village Butchery.

Tonight’s dinner at our house, Homemade Sausage rolls using our pure pork sausages, we’ve removed the skins, added some sautéed grated carrots, & apple & diced onions with fresh herbs - absolutely delicious & salad from the garden, so easy & eating outside on a beautiful spring evening.
The weather is looking good for the long weekend, we have all that you need for entertaining:-
