This can be a result of tightness and weakness with the lats and teres muscles as well as tightness in the levator scap.
1. Foam rolling lats and teres. Tightness and weakness in these muscle can restrict overhead movements and may result in shoulder, neck and upper back pain. Foam rolling can help reduce the muscle tone in these muscles and therefore improve overhead mobility.
2. Levator scapular stretch. A common cause I see for restriction in overhead movement is levator scapular tightness. Tightness in this muscle restricts movements of the scapular (shoulder blade) which can result in poor shoulder movement.

No matter what it is you want to achieve in life, the fastest way to get there is to go slow and be consistent. Unless - you are in a 100m race - in which case, I recommend going fast! 😀 On a serious note, even 100m races are won by slow, consistent efforts. The daily routines - each single workout, meal, rest, sleep etc. There are no shortcuts!

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all our loyal members and team, for their input and creativity behind the design and making this change so enjoyable and exciting.
“Invictus” a Latin word meaning “unconquerable” and “undefeated”. We have all been tested in different ways, in recent years. Our name and identity is dedicated - and is the perfect description of the dedicated members and team - who have weathered the challenges and stayed true to their vision - becoming their best selves, conquering and rising to the opportunity.
“Invictus” is a continuation of The People's Gym which was established in 2013. We have grown! We are growing and will continue too. We always pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming environment, where members become friends - in and out of the gym, where no member is a stranger.
Our goal at “Invictus” will always be to encourage, inspire, motivate and guide our members. We love being a part of your journey and we love you being a part of “INVICTUS GYM”!
