Asylum Hair

Today i am really missing all my lovely clients and all the stories we shared about our lives! I do think about you all often. It is very different for the lead up to Christmas this year. I hope you are all well & happy. PS im not invincible I finally got Covid a few weeks ago hahaha

Well that's it folks! I will really miss you all. It's been an emotional roller coaster for sure these last few weeks! I feel like I've said my goodbyes. I've loved having Asylum =) All the best xoxo Melissa Duffy

To all my wonderful clients over all the years, I am extremely sad to announce that Asylum hair will be closing on the 15th April. The 14th being our last day of work

This has been an extremely hard and emotional decision for me. Covid has not been easy but as well as all that, I feel it is time for me to enjoy weekends with my family and start a new challenge in my life.

It would have been nice to be able to hand the salon over to someone to look after you all and for that I feel a terrible loss but it was not meant to be. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support over the years and also for all my lovely staff too. It has been an incredible journey with you all!
Amanda is off to a bigger and better challenge at Blaze in Newmarket, a very creative and amazing salon where she will grow into the superstar we all know she is. Kristie is going back to a job in reception. I will really miss working with you two everyday! So many laughs!

I have come to know a lot of you so well, some for 15 or even 20 years! Amongst those, a lot I would call friends. It has been great being part of your lives as we all know hair is much more than just hair. We have had a lot of good times and laughs, plus hair do's (I hope haha) and I hope I have always been able to brighten your day a little or share a burden when you have come in to see me or anyone at the salon.

Hi all. With re opening after 3 months it is going to be different! Please be prepared for an extra product charge on top of your normal price as I'm sure we will need a lot more product than usual!

Hi all well the day has finally come! Firstly I have a bit of sad news, Svenja has decided to stay in Tauranga with Fede and put her roots down there. She will not be returning to Auckland. We can understand her decision and are extreemly sad to see her go. This also means that unfortunately there is no physical way we will be able to fit all her clients in before Christmas. We are so so sorry about this and feel terrible, especially after such a long lock down. Unfortuantly this is the reality of these times. So please understand we will do everything we possibly can to see as many of her clients as we can but we can't make any promises. Please understand it's not personal if we are unable to see you before Christmas. We truly wish her well on her new start.

BUT there is a silver lining!!! We are able to announce the the lovely Kristie is returning to the salon after many years away from hairdressing! A lot of you will already know her so this is very exciting. She will be doing a couple of weeks before Christmas so this will definitely lighten the load.

Please remember to make a booking you must be double vaccinated and be able to show proof with your covid certificate. We will not be able to provide tea coffee or magazines and you must wear a mask in the salon. We will be going into the salon to start making appointments tomorrow. We will ring you please wait for our call. We will not be taking any childrens appointments or new clients before Christmas or until we get to all our regular grown ups =)

Hi all! In preparation to open our doors, which we will be able to do in the red light system, we will only be able to open if we agree to take fully vaccinated clients.
