Kids aged 7 and up will get to explore Okahu Bay and the greater Waitemata Harbour in a safe and fun environment, while building their water confidence. From Rib adventures, destination sails, paddle boards, kayaks and plenty of sailing, there is something for everyone! 🚤⛵🛶

Congratulations to RAYC sailor Eli Liefting on an epic performance at the IQFOIL U23 Worlds in Silvaplana. Unfortunately due to lack of wind the medal race was cancelled, but a regatta of majority top five results saw Eli finish in third overall. Well done Eli!

Okahu Bay was a beautiful sight today, with close to 40 sailors joining us from around Auckland for a fantastic Doyle Sails Winter series afternoon. We love it when sailors from other clubs mix in with our sailors, as it is an unbeatable training opportunity leading into the summer months. It was great to see 15 P Class’s on the start line, you are all welcome back anytime.

It's time for another Doyle Sails Winter Series! Join us this Sunday for an afternoon of fun club racing for all junior and senior classes. Members and visitors are welcome, the forecast is looking ideal, with 10 - 15 knot southerlies.

If your child is sailing, or your available to give us a hand on Sunday afternoon bring some hammers, spades, or axes and meet us on the ramp for a clean up before the summer season gets into full swing.

A sausage sizzle will be provided after sailing for all of our helpers and sailors.

Best of luck to our very own Sophia Morgan and Villiame Ratulu who begin their Olympic racing in the Women’s and Men’s dinghy (ILCA) in the early hours of the morning.

Sophia and Villiame are competing under the Fijian Flag. Go well team!

Isaac McHardie and Will McKenzie have made an outstanding start in their Olympic debut in the 49er class. The duo won the first race of the regatta and maintained their lead on the leaderboard for two consecutive days. As they head into tonight's Medal Race, they are holding a strong position in 3rd place overall.

Life Member Molly Meech and her crew Jo Aleh have also delivered remarkable performances. After an exceptional third day of the regatta, finishing with placements of 3, 2, and 1, they have climbed the ranks and secured a spot in the Medal Race in 7th place. While both Molly and Jo have previously won Olympic medals individually, this marks their first games racing together on the same boat.

Good luck to our teams! It's incredibly exciting to see New Zealand and RAYC represented in both the 49er and 49erFX Medal Races. We are so proud of all your achievements!

The pair are beginning to look comfortable in the top spot, leading the fleet by four points as the halfway point of the regatta closes in.
