Hi folks: ❤️ We were asked to help these people caring for some unwanted puppies. We do not know the puppies please contact foster directly. They look gorgeous but keep in mind Catahoula Dogs require active lifestyle and obedience training so dog experienced families would be perfect.
From the foster:
Mum is a catahoula cross, dad unknown.
11 weeks this
week. (Born 22nd-28th July, unknown of date)
There are 6 boys 1 girl, they are very playful and love attention. They have been exposed to live stock and around other dogs that we own. These dogs will have a lot of energy from research on the catahoula breed
Also no signs of resource guarding around food with each other.

Hi we do not know this dog but so sad, please share to find a loving home. ❤️❤️
🧡 "I NOW HAVE A WONDERFUL HOME"
[Advertised on behalf of Sally's owner]
Please send an email, introducing yourself and describe the life you can offer Sally - [email protected]
*******************************************
“Hi, I’m Sally. I’m a spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped 4-year-old Red Nosed Pitbull Ridgeback cross.
I am simply gorgeous inside and out! I had a photo shoot with a professional photographer who fell in love with me! 🧡
I live with my dad in Whangarei. He’s my soulmate and best friend.
My entire life it’s just been dad and me. He says I’m “an absolute darling of a girl.” 🥰
Dad and I have an incredibly strong bond. When I had a stay at kennels, a while back, I fretted without my dad. I stopped eating and went very quiet. It was hard being without dad. 💔
The other day, he sat me down for a chat.
One of his family members is unwell and dad must now sell our home and relocate to the UK.
Dad says he’s absolutely devastated – heartbroken to be saying goodbye to me. Because of my breed, I am not allowed to move with dad to the UK. Dad has tried everything to make it work, so we don't have to be apart. 😢
Dad's hoping to find a loving permanent home - where I can form the same deep bond with a human. Failing that, a long-term private foster arrangement would also suit. That way, dad can be assured his girl is safe and loved - in the best of hands - always. 🥲
I am looking for a calm quiet environment, just like I have now - where I'll thrive.
I’m simply lovely when meeting new people.
If a stranger visits my home though, I’ll bark a bit but that’s just to alert dad someone’s there. Afterwards, I'll come to dad to tell him about it - feeling very proud of myself for protecting my home.
I’m not partial to cats. At night, I enjoy sitting out and looking up at the stars. If any pesky felines sneak in, I’ll be ready to chase them away. 😸
I’d love living as a solo doggy, but sharing would be fine with me too - provided we meet first, to make sure we have good chemistry. 🦮
I’m a good girl with kids but I’d be best living with older dog savvy ones. I’m a big girl and I can get a little excited at times, you see.
I’m used to chickens, so I’d be fine living with them. 🐔
I’m fully housetrained and sleep inside – with my own luxurious bed in the lounge.
First thing in the morning each day, dad and I head out for a walk. I’m a good girl. I only pull on the leash a little initially, when we first venture out.
For the rest of the day, I’m happy moseying round and chilling out – keeping dad company.
If I get a little bored though, and I want to get dad’s attention, I’ll nudge his feet and bark at him. That’s to say, “I’m ready for some fun now dad – let’s get on with it!” 😂
One of my favourite things is heading to the beach with dad. I LOVE the water. I’ll gladly take myself off for a swim! 💧
Sadly, as much as I love the ocean, my skin has other ideas. Sometimes the salt causes a rash on my belly, so I need to be rinsed off thoroughly afterwards.
Finding the right home for me is really weighing on dad’s heart right now. He would like to stay in touch with my owner or fosterer, so he can provide support and hear how I’m doing also.
So, if you’d like the company of an affectionate and easy-going girl like me in your life, please get in touch."

Hi Folks ❤️❤️ (Thank you everyone for sharing, Hank has found his new family on Waiheke with a family that adopted another of our rescues. Super happy for him). We are sharing this gorgeous chap on behalf of the foster who found him but can not keep him. Please contact her directly if you think you could offer this handsome fella a safe loving home. We have not met this boy.
"Hiya, On Thursday the 22/08 I found a puppy who was tied outside mount Wellington count down. The pharmacy said he was there for 6 hours and no one came to get him. No food or water or note nothing. Tied with duffel bag handle. It’s been 5days and no one has come forward. I’ve advertised everywhere & given pharmacy my number. I’ve had to bounce him house to house as we are renting and can’t take him. I’ve run out of people able to hold him. I had a rescue for him to go to this guy past Sunday but they have pulled out last minute and can no longer take him anymore. Is there any possibility of you or anyone you know taking him? Any connections you know puppy friendly foster homes, rescues etc?
We called him Tank as he’ll be a big guy. Vet reckons around 5-6 months old, she thought mastiff/Lab/ Bully mix. He looks very loved so weird situation. Someone cared about him so not sure why he’s been abandoned. Good with kids, dogs, cats. Can sit and come. He’s not fixed & no microchip. One of a kind puppy were all in love with him.
We appreciate you and all the hard work you do. Sorry to burden you with another guy needing a place to stay. Bella 0272034258 located Mt Wellington
Hi folks 😍🐕: We are posting on behalf to try find Staffy Alfred a new forever home. Unfortunately his family circumstances have changed. We do not know him so please contact the owner directly. We are sharing to help a very difficult time for the family with a new baby. LOCATED Orewa Rodney. All questions please text owner. Cheers
Owners words:
We are seeking a new loving home for our cherished Staffy, Alfred. Alfred is an incredibly sweet boy who thrives with companionship and would flourish with an owner who can spend quality time with him throughout the day, whether it's at work or at home. He eagerly responds to commands, showing his unwavering loyalty and adoration for his owners, relishing every cuddle shared. While Alfred may need some assistance with walking on a lead and managing his anxiety, we believe with the right nurturing and care from his new family, these challenges can be overcome. Regrettably, our circumstances have shifted with the arrival of our second baby, and we're unable to provide Alfred with the extra attention and training he deserves
He's fine with cats but suited to a home with older children, he's desexed and upto date with vacations

Hi Folks, we are sharing this beautiful boy on behalf of caregiver. We do not know Monty so please contact Matt - 02041197448 if you have any questions and please share this handsome fella to help him find a family to love him and give him a place to call home. Cheers ❤️😍
Sweet Mr Monty is looking for a new home!
Unfortunately Monty was unable to move with my parents to their new rental property so is in need of a new home. The shift in circumstances has seen Monty’s anxiety levels shoot up, and he is struggling to settle during the day but after having him for a week now he has shown significant improvements. Aside from this shift Monty shows a willingness to learn new tricks, and has the basics in place (sit, lay down, or on your bed) but does seem to get over stimulated at times, but we have been practicing getting him to sit on his bed/ mat to decompress which seems to be working. He is not good on the lead when you leave the house, this seems to push him over the edge. He barks and pulls, and sniffs and wags his tale, and seems to feel all the emotions at once. I had intended to work with him on his lead training and some basic tactics with place, but my current flatting environment (living with 7 people and a dog) seems to be heightening his overstimulation. He needs more attention and time then I have to give unfortunately so I am hopeful I will find a beautiful human to help nurture his empathetic, kind and caring nature. He truly is a wonderful dog and has the potential to be a great companion for the right person or family.
He has shown no signs of aggression toward any of us here at the flat, even when he clearly shows signs of being afraid, he will let you approach and pat him and he will take any treats offered. I think he would benefit from some more one on one training at his own pace.
Breed: Mixed – lab x Beardie
Age: approx. 4 years old
Size: medium - large
Gender: Male
Neutered: Yes
Vaccinations: will get him up to date
Personality: Monty is a very lovable and affectionate dog who likes to be near people. He is a family dog who still has a great deal of energy to give a new family or person looking for a companion. He is good with kids and lived with 2 cats and another dog, but needs direction when it comes to meeting new dogs outside of his home space. He is easily trained with a treat in hand and loves any stimulation, through games, exercise, or learning new skills.
Health: Monty has shown no signs of medical concern, and vet check-ups seem to say the same thing.
Training: Monty will need further training when it comes to socialisation outside the house and has in the past had some unfortunate experiences so is cautions of new dogs. His recall, and lead training will need some work but he has demonstrated an eagerness to learn and shown huge progress in the week that I have had him.
Compatibility: Monty has had a lot of interaction with kids, other family members dogs and cats. He would suit a family with a yard, kids and a ball or an active individual looking for a companion. His tail is powerful when he is excited so smaller kids may get in the way of this.
History: Monty was neglected by his mum as a pup and forced out of the litter. He has a scar on his rear where his mum bit him.
Adoption Requirements: Monty will need a fenced in yard, daily walks (once comfortable on the lead) and a lovable family environment, or individual.
Monty will come with:
• a bed,
• some toys
• food and water bowls
• lead, collar and harness for pulling.
Adoption Fee: Nil
Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to Monty!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a meet-and-greet.
Matt - 02041197448
Hi Folks please contact Bay Of Islands Rescue for further information, sharing on behalf. When we advertised Bella one of our deaf dogs we had a couple of trainers interested and she found an amazing home dedicated to teaching sogn language. That was a couple of years ago so cross fingers you see this post and possibly can help find her find a beautiful home. Please share. Cheers
Hi everyone.. its been a while but we are posting on behalf.. This is Joyboy, male 2 year old staffie cross.. great nature.. NOT desexed but present owner will pay for him to be desexing.. please please call Tavita +64 21 122 3341 if you can help
Hi folks: this gorgeous fella was one of our rescue pups and has had a wonderful 3 1/2 years with his family, however circumstances are requiring him to find a new loving family. Please contact owner directly for more information. The below is from his owner.
Location: Auckland
Name: Zinny
Age: 3.5 yrs
S*x: Male
Desexed/vaccinated/microchipped: Yes
Breed: Unknown - he came to us as a rescue pup but we think he must be a mix of staffy, lab and greyhound/whippet.
Temperament: This incredibly handsome boy Zinny is very smart and can be high energy and but also loves lazing around. Zinny attends daycare a couple of times a week, and with a morning walk on the other days he is happy to be at home if we are needing to be out. He loves a play in the afternoon tugging on a rope or a bit of hide and seek with a squeaky toy. He is needing someone who would like a dog mate to play with and go on adventures. He needs someone who can set good boundaries and love him ( let him on the bed !). He has a particular fondness for women and takes some time to trust men but once he does he will love you forever :) He hasn’t lived with children but does well with our 11 yr old niece when she visits but he can be anxious around children when out and about until he knows they can be trusted. He plays well with other dogs (he goes to daycare a couple of times a week). He would do best with an experienced dog owner - even joining a family of dogs.
🐾
🐾
Reason for rehoming: This is a very reluctant post however Zinny's circumstances have changed - he came to our family as our son's dog but he is now flatting and can’t take Zinny with him. For Zinny to be happy he needs a good run at least twice a week and daycare is just becoming too expensive for us to continue ....we are both working full time and cant keep him without him going to daycare.
Disclosure: Please note this animal is NOT for sale he us up for adoption. Please contact me for more details. Elizabeth

(BRUTUS WAS Adopted today and heading off to his farm with lots of animals and new family)
Hi Folks: Meet Handsome BRUTUS ❤🐾😁
Jo who is an experienced foster and many times has fostered for us has this gorgeous boy in her care. You will be getting a little champ as she will be putting the training into this special boy and a lot of the hard puppy training work will be completed and he is very well socialised in those precious months. He is fostered with an menagerie of other animals: cats, birds, and little dogs and is a STAR!! Please read Jo's words below and contact her directly and please share this deserving young chap.
If you love chocolate you will probably love this chocolate boy. I mean who wouldn’t! Meet Brutus. He is approx 4 mths old. He is currently residing in the Paeroa area where he was recently found as a stray. After doing his stray time the local council animal shelter put him into care of a rescue for rehoming. I am his foster mum. Brutus currently is learning basic commands and socialising with cats and small and medium sized dogs.
Brutus is a staffy x who would love to spend his evenings cuddling on the couch or lying in front of the fire. Brutus is crate trained, and will settle down to sleep all night in his crate. He is approx 13kg. Thanks to the great folks at Pet Direct for the donation of food. It’s certainly been helping.
His favourite entertainment is either his Kong filled treats and peanut butter or playing with his foster siblings.
For a big dog Brutus is incredibly gentle. He will gently play with our 4 mth old shih tzu as well as the others.
If you would like to meet Brutus I do come to Auckland most weeks or you’re welcome to come visit him in Ngatea.
Feel free to txt or call me on 0276237296 or email me [email protected] if you would like to know more information. And begin the adoption process.
Please message me details of the home you can offer Brutus.
Hi Folks ❤🐾😁Check out this gorgeous young man called Timmy.
We have not met this dog and posting on behalf of the custodians to find this beautiful boy an amazing home. Please contact them directly on the emails below.
"One year old, beautiful lab X husky. Very affectionate and loves interactions with people.
He loves to play and has a range of toys that he loves, he will bring them to people to throw for him. He is good with other dogs and loves to run and play with them. He can be quite boisterous in his play.
He has not been close to cats so there is a question mark if a cat home would be suitable. He would be better with older children due to his size and energy levels.
He has been acclimated to a crate and goes into it voluntarily when he wants to rest or have quiet space. He walks quite well on a lead and enjoys going for a run.
He is in the process of sharpening up his obedience and is doing wonderfully with this.
The person who adopts Timmy would need to have the time and patience to put in a little more training. But he is proving himself a pretty fast learner.
The person who adopts this young man is very lucky as this boy is as sweet as could possibly be.
Please contact Penny and or Aimee for more information regarding Timmy at [email protected] or Aimee at [email protected]
Hi Folks, this was one of our handsome pups that was adopted and due to unforseen circumstances is now seeking a beautiful new family to look after him. Please contact the owner and or trainer directly. Cheers
URGENT REHOME OR FOSTER REQUIRED.
Please share this around.
Unfortunately Cruze is looking for a new home, or someone who can foster him temporarily.
He needs to go to a home with NO children, no cats, and probably no other dogs (can provide more details about his level of dog sociability if someone is interested, but has a dog already).
He is an 18 month old mastiff mix with a big personality. He is good around horses, chickens and livestock. I am happy to discuss his behaviour and the details of the reason for rehoming in private. He will need to go to an experienced and/or knowledgeable home. He is currently housed in Pukekohe.
He loves to work and has awesome food and toy drive. He loves tug and with the right handler he could potentially do well in dog sports. He would make a great "dog trainers dog" for someone who enjoys a bit of a challenge. Please reach out if you know anyone who may be interested. This is URGENT as it is not safe for him to stay in his current home for any longer than absolutely necessary.
Hi everyone: 😍 Checkout this beautiful pedigree German Shepherd. We do not know the dog so please contact the owner. Leo is seeking an awesome German Shephered experienced family. The owners very detailed description is:
Leo, 6 years, German Shepherd
Due to unfortunate circumstances out of our control, our much loved Leo needs to be rehomed, preferably to a caring Auckland family, with a good understanding of this breed, and are able to work with us to bond with Leo, so he can be rehomed by 19 March this year.
Leo is a pedigree German Shepherd, a much loved member of our family since he was rehomed with us at 18 months old, from a previous family who no longer wanted a German Shepherd. He is healthy, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up-to-date with flea/worm treatments.
He is extremely loyal, devoted and a loving companion. A very gentle natured and well mannered boy, despite his strong handsome German Shepherd stature and protective instinct. He is very smart, and loves to learn. A well trained dog who enjoys walks, playtime and quiet companion time. He is crate trained, and voluntarily lays in there for naps/quiet times during the day, and chooses to sleep on his bed by the bedroom door at night time. He is not suited to a home with other dogs, cats or small animals, and will need to be an only pet. As a puppy, his previous owners did not properly train or socialise him with other dogs, so an experienced dog owner would be best for him. He also needs a secure fully fenced home, where he can be an indoor/outdoor pet. He is used to being left alone Mon-Fri for a standard 40hour week, however previously struggled with the rehoming process. His most favourite place to be, is by your side. He would need to have someone there, and not be left alone for long periods in the first 4 weeks of rehoming to adjust, trust and bond.
Although he needs an experienced owner, the rewards of his unconditional love will be endless and priceless. He is the most loving, sweet natured and smart boy, and would be a devoted companion to the right owner. He loves going for walks, but he can become anxious in busy or uncertain new surroundings, so patience and understanding is needed. He looks for comfort in a thunderstorm, or if he hears fireworks, or sudden loud noises. He would be fine with kids as long as they approached him carefully and quietly, and the kids were managed by an adult someone who understands dog behaviour.
He will not just go to anyone, we want to ensure he finds the best fit that suits all his needs. Please reach out to Tess at [email protected] below for any questions, or if you think you’d be a great fit for our very much loved and special Leo.
Hi everyone: 😊 My name is Louise and I have managed the Last Lamppost Dog Rescue since March 2020. . I am leaving Last Lamppost to relocate with my dog Pixie and I will be taking on a new challenge. I have had the amazing opportunity to rehabilitate and rehome 295 dogs and puppies in my time at Last Lamppost Rescue. I would like to give a huge thank you to all of you amazing people that adopted our dogs and puppies and wish every single one of them the best futures with their forever families. The emotions of sadness and anger towards the people that caused those pups to be with us changes to love and joy as I know those precious pups will never feel pain and neglect again. Watching them learn to trust us and watching their bodies and minds heal is why we do what we do. So it is with great sadness I say fairwell to such a wonderful rescue. I would like to thank Andy the founder for putting faith in me to achieve what we have achieved. Also would like to thank all of the wonderful people in the many other rescues and pounds we worked with and gave me support and advice when needed. The team at Vets North Kumue have been amazing and especially Dr Leanne Whitakker who continues to follow through with our local puppies and dogs. The rescue will be suspended for a short time, but watch this space. For those of you still to desex please continue to contact [email protected] when your pup is of age for desexing. 😊 cheers everyone.

Hi everyone: 😍 Checkout this beautiful girl seeking a wonderful family. Please contact Bridge Bully Rescue and help share her story. Cheers.
Hi Everyone: Hope you and your furry family are all safe in this weather. Please see below post about a beautiful girl seeking a beautiful home. We do not know the dog and only posting on behalf of the lovely lady that took her in ,so please contact Olivia directly.
OLIVIA +6421811544
This is what Olivia has to say about gorgeous Bella.
"This is Bella. She is a lab cross. She is a poppet. Her joy is playing with her tennis balls, playing with other dogs - she LOVES dogs - and snuggling up with her person. She has had a rough start but she is coming out of her shell beautifully, however loud noises/fire works etc frighten her a bit.
She takes a little while to know that she can trust her person as she's a bit timid, but she is good with strangers and has not a single aggressive bone in her sweet little body. We don't think she has ever been off a chain before so she is learning that new and open spaces/parks are fun and she adores the beach.
She's mid - larger sized and is about 2 years old, but has already had a litter of puppies. She will be spayed in two months at our cost. (She has been chipped and wormed/de-flead and vaccinated.)
She would be amazing for a person with an older dog as she would learn to be brave with another dog and whilst she loves to play she reflects the energy level of the dog she's playing with - playing rough and tumble with young strong dogs, and lying on the ground playing gently with my sisters 13 year old geriatric lab.
But she would also happily settle into a family/person without a dog, as she's super loyal and adores pats and cuddles (almost more than chicken which we have started using as treats to teach her "sit" and "come!" And she now loves to show us how clever she is with "sit" and "come"!) They would just need to be patient and show her that life is a happy, loving place, not scary and violent.
I would absolutely adopt her if I didn't already have the other two and will happily have her to stay if the new family go on holiday etc (as long as we are not away too). I will work with whomever wants to adopt her to make her settling in process as smooth as possible for her and for them.
She's such a poppet and such a good girl she deserves the very best new life possible."
Kim has been an awesome foster for us, this is her story. 😁
Hi everyone: 😍❤ Our beautiful pups want to say a huge thank you to those that shared their posts and found those amazing families that have offered our pups loving forever homes. Myla departed today with her family who drove up from Nelson area to collect her, Ruby is on her journey to Riverton, Magoo heads to his super family tomorrow, Hanks new mum is driving up from Wellington to collect him Saturday and he is going to be king in her doggy day care, the little babies all depart to their lovely families in 10 days time when they 8 weeks old and vaccinated. YAY. ❤ All current pups are adopted.
Hi everyone: 😍 Super blessed to help these two gorgeous pups find their forever families. They are Rottie cross, 14 weeks old and going to be large dogs. They have awesome sweet natures and were super gentle when one of the 5 week old rascals broke into their run. 🤪 They require kind compassionate experienced homes to help them become confident dogs as everything is new for them to learn.. they spent their time with a family with children so are good around children. They are respectful of our older dogs. Please register at www.lastlamppost.org or email [email protected] .. We will not be adopting them together as they need to start being confident in themselves instead of relying on each other. Please share ❤
Hi everyone; ❤ These two absolutely gorgeous pups came into our care today as we had space to help the family. Surrendered from a family that had no other options due to accommodation difficulties. They were terrified of rehoming thenselves incase they didn't go to a good home. Thank you family for trusting us with your pups and rest assured we will love them like our own until the perfect forever families are found.
