Still training hard and so passionate about 3 wheeled cycling and building up the sport here and in the Pacific.
One step closer to the Paralympics 28!!!
Did you know that one of my longest standing supporters(sponsors) is . A mobility company and awesome team.
This seems like a strange partnership as I am currently building up my leg strength, mobility and confidence as a cyclist.
However, taking advice from my wonderful wife to jump into my chair after a hard training session to just enjoy life.
Work hard 💪 and enjoy the rest!!
Stepping into the weekend AFO free!!! First time in 20 years, I have walked into work without splints on!!!
*currently being repaired due to the rapid muscle growth from Cycling 🚲 💪 🙌 🙏
Awesome to read the Disability Policy. Action speaks louder than words so I have joined the party, voted early and thinking about throwing my hat into the ring for the next elections
It's an absolute honour to be chosen as a 'change maker" for my Samoan community.
We only have one life, so just climb towers, sail and cycle.

Last week, I had the opportunity to bring my support team together to have a debrief about how I preformed on the world stage for the first time . The Good, Bad and the ugly!!
In short, we all agreed that I am currently on the right track and there's some extremely exciting opportunities in the near future..
Just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who has donated towards this dream and I hope you can get a sense of enjoyment 😉

Thank you so much 😊
Project Waffle has been completed for 2023.
Time to have a little break, analyse, and then start working towards greater growth in cycling 🚲
After an amazing start, the t1 group was too quick for me and the next 26km became a bit of a newbie chase. Great tunes in my head were playing
"All by myself..."
"I like to ride my tricycle...."
" staying alive...."
" last man standing"
The end results will never reflect the amount of knowledge I have gained in the past week. I am super motivated to get keep on working, getting faster and stronger 💪
Watch out Ostend, I'll be back 😎
🇧🇪
Absolutely buzzing at the completion of my first ever World Cup time trial.
One year since I started working towards this dream and I am now cycling with the world's best T1 cyclist.
Huge takeaway points from today:
- Sub 1 hour for 20km, Personal best
- not dead last
- didn't crash and burn..
Huge areas to continue this journey of improvement 👏. Road Race on Saturday morning
All set for my first ever World Cup time trial tomorrow afternoon..
My imposter symptom is overdrive as one year training, 4:45am wake ups and my passion for this sport, yet I don't feel prepared enough.....
A massive thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you all and no matter the outcome, just remember that we are just getting started!!!
I'll be riding at 16:02 local time (2:02am NZ time)
🇧🇪
A major step this cycling journey has been completed 👏 🙌 👌
I have been officially as a T1 Male confirmed, this means that I am classified as the most impaired cyclist on an upright trike...
Absolutely awesome as my body hasn't informed my brain of this limitations so time to start dream big and become the best T1 cyclist ever!!
Ps my unicycle riding career has come to the end
I regretfully had to withdraw from my first race tomorrow morning due to having a cold 🥶
Getting back on the rollers proved to be amazing i am currently not back to myself.
Bring on Thursday morning. i am getting super excited for the time trials!!
In 5 days I will be boarding a flight to Belgium for my first-ever World Cup in Ostend and C1 race (the week before in Brugge)
This is an awesome opportunity as there will be 12 (T1 males) on the start line, Paralympics winners, World Champions, and me..
Rome wasn't built in a day so as this is just my second year of cycling, the expectations and goals are:
- to attain an international classification
- to complete all races
- to set a benchmark on the world stage.
Oh, I'm just warming up 🇧🇪
Cheers to my 2nd New Zealand Road Nationals. I felt stronger than last year, but I have a long way to go!! I absolutely loved having my amazing wife supporting me!!
Improved time and, of course, still smiling 😃
Oh, what a year!
366 days ago, I lined up for my first ever race and New Zealand Nationals, I had a basic idea of jumping on a trike and pedalling fast-ish....
Gears? What are those!
Brakes? Nah, mate, can't reach those!!.
Cycling gear?, op shopping bargain box...
As I line up on the start line this year(Friday and Sunday mornings) the humble feeling of the ongoing support from each and every one of you will be in my heart.
So, thank you for sharing this awesome first year of cycling with me.
Brakes, gears, and quality lycra are all ready for the milestone race tomorrow morning.
Wanted to reflect on 'how far we have come" with this video, which was filmed in 2020, and it was the first ever attempt to get on a trike on my own. Absolutely Eye watering stuff!

Been cycling for an hour and I am no closer to reaching the the Easter egg!!
I have decided to withdraw from the road race tomorrow on safety concerns. The course is far too difficult and steep, I have 2 more competitions back to back, so saving my trike and body for what's to come..
Time to have a little treat and then back to training next week. 💪
So, this is ķind of bitter sweet, as I was the only T1 cyclist at the event so Gold medal was kind of expected 🤔 however what wasn't expected was how harsh the course.
🚲 - many hills
🚴♀️ - many corners
🚳 - cinderella moment x 1 (shoe came off)
🚲 - many downhills
And still smiling at the finish line with my amazing wife by my side!!

Apparently, there's one more week until my first international competition in Brisbane.
A time trial at 8:30am on Thursday(30th) = 20.1km with a 269m elevation
A road race on Saturday morning (1st)= 27.9km with a 415m elevation
Do I feel ready? Hell no, but we have been training towards this, and the progress has been awesome 👏.
So as always, let's smile and get the job done!!!

If I put a door mat on top of the box, Lisa will hopefully never know what I got!
What's in the box? It's the new chapter of this cycling journey!
After just 5 months of riding my trike, it required a 'shopping list' of upgrades to be able to race international!!
🥇 rebuilt rear hubs to provide a little more width to provide more stability
🥈 upgraded gearing system
🥉 A fancy new cardboard box for travelling to Australia and then Belgium 🇧🇪
Part of the upgrades were made possible by the amazing donations towards this cycling journey by people like you, so thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
Massive thank you to Peter for his time and skills on the rebuild, he's a legend 👏
2 weeks til Brisbane

So I went to the doctor a few weeks ago to get an international classification form filled out.. apparently, there's no proof of my cerebral palsy on record!
Ì have been so stressed out because I am about to be found out, a lifetime of acting and playing the role of a drunk man...
We were turned away from the doctors as they investigated this mystery. We were called back today to have a clear answer. I have a physical disability called CP!!!

One of those weeks!!
You know one of those weeks when life is so hectic and full that you haven’t had anytime to scratch your bum?
We are definitely ramping up the training program for the next competition, spent a good amount of time on the trainer bike and a full gym program. I have two more bike sessions and a swim to complete before Sunday.
Finalised the details for Brisbane and worked on the arrangements for Belgium 🇧🇪. I have decided to enter an pre-worlds event a few days earlier. This event has cobblestones which should be awesome 😎
Feeling little overwhelmed as the day job as been ramping up too but I am absolutely loving the progress!!
Downfall?? I want to say a huge thank-you to those who have donated money towards this dream, I will definitely be organizing a thankyou gift upon my return!!
Signing off with the title of the next cycle workout ‘ the big squeeze!!!

That’s a wrap!
After 3 days of intense cycling training sessions and awesome people, we are heading home 🏠.
It’s absolutely awesome working with the Paralympics coaches, mechanics and everyone who helps with putting these camps together. Cycling on live roads in a safe manner means that us (cyclist) are not cotton wooled and are exposed to the real world so thank-you
Reflecting on this personal journey- this learning curve has just gotten even steeper, with many more hours of training, some serious kilometres to cover and an amazing adventure to have, to be able to reach this dream.
I might not be your typical cyclist 🚴♀️ but I am sure having a blast and making sand castles along the way!!
🇧🇪
🇧🇪- rider 2 is building sand castles!
3,2,1 go!!! 6 laps to go (16 km). The cross wind was really challenging however changing gears has improved. Coming around a tight hairpin corner too hot and hit the sand!!! Boom 💥 fell completely off the trike.
Spent the next 5 minutes trying to get back on the trike. Shook myself off and finished the race. Finished in 1 hour straight!!
This learning curve is very difficult and steep however I am still smiling ☺️

🇧🇪- one more drive?
After a quick stop on Tuesday night, we camped in a windowless cabin and hit the road again and 2:45am. A smooth crossing saw some great waffles 🧇 eaten.
Lisa is an awesome driver and we had some deep conversations about my fears about driving on the open roads etc (this going to be another great goal to achieve)
This evening I will be racing around Hamper Downs (raceway), followed by a cycling training camp until Sunday. Will definitely post some pictures!
Marriage tip: after a 13 hour drive, don’t say that you are not going to cycle. You just came to visit the wood museum!!

🇧🇪- A secret to a happy marriage is to get a new rack!!
Since starting this awesome challenge, my wonderful wife (Lisa) has been taking apart trikes to get them inside our van. It was disappointing as I wanted to be as independent as possible and why should Lisa be covered in grease.
We reached out to Peter from who built a custom made trike rack and then spent an hour of his weekend showing us how to get the most out of the rack!!

🇧🇪 🚨 half-naked cyclist alert!!
Absolutely blown away by the progress made in training this week:
- increase in power and smoothness (3 cycles, gym and a physical therapy session completed ✔️ and 2 more rides and a swim to come)
- Preparing for the first race of the year happening next week!
- Working on getting some stronger axles for the racing trike.
Getting up at 4:46am most days is humbling when amazing people like you have donated their hard earned money.
I would like to say thank-you to the following: Petra, Ana,Val, Martine, Robyn, Zak, sue, Allison, Susan. steve, Doug, god mother, Tierney, Geoff&Lynda S, Tobias, Water, Belinda, Alastair!!

I was hoping that you might be able to spare some change to help me out?

Wanted to end the year with the longest solo outdoor cycle to date. This gave me time to reflect on this awesome year of growth:
- First nationals under the belt
- Moved to a cycling friendly city
- Built a new racing trike
- Started working with passionate coaches, cyclist and great people, who have been so supportive and willing to share their knowledge of cycling with me.
- Achieved growth in the training program and bike skills
- Absolutely humbled to have received all the support, grants and sponsorship.
- more awesome milestones to list
I just wanted to say thank you all for all your amazing support and I really hope that I have motivated you to get out there and smash your goals
The 50km and the ugly picture is for you all! Happy New Years!!
Over the past 6 months, I have been ramping up the training on and off the bike.
I have been working on my balance, core and of leg strength. To be honest, I was against going back to physical therapy as it raised my anxiety levels of learning how to walk as a young man and screaming because of the pain.
However this time it’s been different as the determination of becoming the best Paracyclist I can be has made it possible to work hard and reclaim movements from my cp!
Cheers to Mike from

Absolutely humbled to receive this letter. An awesome way to end 2022 and a lot of pressure for 2023!!
Can’t wait to get back to training and make dreams happen.
Heartfelt thanks to Parafed Canterbury for the opportunity.
Hello team!
I am absolutely on the mend! Thanks for the amazing best wishes and support.
I am up and about at home and I have just received the plan for the next while from my coach and the races that we have planned for 2023
🚴Parafed Waikato Activ8 C1 Event – Hampton Downs - 9 February 2023
🚴🚴Oceania Champs – Brisbane - 31 March -1 April 2023
🚴🚴♀️🚴Road Nationals – Timaru, 14-16 April 2023
🚴🚴🚴🚴Ostend Para Cycling Road World Cup – 1st week of May 2023
This is completely self-funded campaign so I would absolutely love some suggestions or support on this?
Feel free to email ([email protected])
Guess that’s part of the journey aye-
My coach sent me a report that outlines the awesome progress that we achieved in the last 6 months and an awesome roadmap ahead.
Then boom! Covid came to town and knocked me out for days. Recovery mode here I come!!
At least I can still smile
Progress???
Completed my first Paralympics ID camp over the weekend and here’s some few take away points:
💪 I have almost doubled my power output on the Watt test!
🤪 in the axel department: we can fix it and strengthen it so it will definitely keep me cycling 🚴♀️
🪱 spent the weekend, working on my turning skills at faster speeds and weight management.
🤸🏼♀️ I have been formally classified as a T1 cyclist, which is amazing as I am able to race against rides with similar abilities as mine (t1’s are one of the highest impaired rides on trikes, so it’s important to be aware and have the ability to control the trike in a safe manner)
✈️ if I continue to work hard and improve then 2023 will definitely be the year to break onto the international stage and get some races under my belt.
An huge thanks to everyone who made this journey awesome and I am excited to see where it will take us!
Out of sheer disappointment I cussed at the world today “why can’t I just be a normal fuc**ng cyclist on a normal fuc**ng bike” this was after learning that I have successfully bending a steel axle (still investigating), just after 4 outdoor cycles.
According to my support team “we have no idea how you manage to this, bending solid steel is pretty impressive if that’s the case"
Well that’s quite simple; the Jordon effect!!
- 1 rugged military grade laptop 💻
- 2 sailing joysticks
- 4 wheelchairs 🦼
- 6 cellphones 📞
- 8 walking 🚶♀️ frame 🖼
- 36 phone chargers 🔌
- 56 toilet seats 💺
- Countless plates, cups and bowls 🍚
Annoying? You bet! A major set back? Yep!! Are we going to cry and give up? Hell no!!
Ps we have a plan and this speed bump will definitely not slow me down, so stay tuned for more cycling antics!!
Pay me to quality control your new products!
I am absolutely proud to know Glen and team from Cavalry who has updated the cartoon of “Jordon challenges” series.
This is the centerpiece of this cycling journey as it showcases the importance of getting out there and showing the world what is possible!
Might have a new T-shirt collection out soon. Who’s keen?
Keep on keeping on!!
