GIRMIT Documentary Premiere

We are excited to announce the premiere of the GIRMIT documentary, Field of Sadness, in Auckland on Friday, 30 August 2024, at Sylvia Park Hoyts Cinema 1, starting at 7:30 pm.

The full program will run from 6:30 to 9:00 pm as follows:

6:30 – 7:15 pm: Arrival, mix and mingle, photography
7:15 – 7:23 pm: Speeches and a welcome by the Producer, Rajendra Prasad
7:30 – 9:00 pm: Screening of the documentary
Tickets are $30 each.
The ticket price aims to partially cover the significant production costs, including filming in India, Fiji, and New Zealand, and the cost of venue hire at Hoyts Cinema. No government funding or grants were received for this production; all costs must be covered by the producer/associates, and donors.

Tickets will be sent via email; you can either print them or save them on your phone for access to the theatre. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis with no allocated seat numbers.

A special request to younger attendees: if you have older parents, please assist them in purchasing tickets so they can enjoy this historic viewing.

We hope you support this documentary and be part of the historic screening—be prepared with tissues or a handkerchief for the tears that may flow.

There will be only one screening in Auckland, followed by a screening in Wellington on the 31st of August.
