Awesome vibes today at our ACES campus. Well done to all the students & staff who made such a huge effort in showing up for the annual anti-bullying campaign 2023
Kia ora everyone...
Today, we had a very special visitor, Minister for Education Jan Tinetti.
After first meeting us (ACES) back in late November 2022 at our Alternative Education Conference, Jan was captivated by ACES and our unique approach in engaging & empowering young people in the Alternative Education sector and knew straight away she needed to come to Auckland and see for herself where all the amazing mahi happens.
Today, Jan spent time with our very own ACES students (recently graduated & present) who gave Jan the grand tour & led the conversation, talking candidly about themselves, their struggles, their journey, and their successes in having found a new path, a safe space to learn, discover themselves, and build for their future.
All the ACES Team are super proud of our students today in having the courage & confidence to speak so freely & straight from the heart ❤️
A big thank you to our Minister for Education Jan Tinetti, we are humbled & appreciative you taking the time to visit us, and will hold onto your poignant words, as you take our unique story back to Wellington.
Ka nui te mihi.
