Are you fired up? Onfire is looking for a new hotshot Senior Brand Designer to join our team. It’s an excellent opportunity to join one of New Zealand’s most internationally awarded design agencies.
You will need to have solid experience working across brands, be passionate about design, confident in your ideas, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and, most importantly, be a team player. This position will require you to have at least 8+ years of design agency experience with proven brand and comms experience.

The Onfire studio has a great team environment, is close to Takapuna Beach and motorway, with easy parking and an endless supply of office snacks to fuel your creativity.

NEW WORK: Salash Delicatessen is a small, family-run smallgoods business based in Kumeū and a regular at food markets throughout the Auckland region. We worked with the family to refresh the brand to help launch in to supermarkets nationwide, along with new storytelling, visual assets and packaging formats for their range of unique North Serbian inspired dry-cured style meats.

NEW WORK: Mako Construction are a specialist commercial, industrial and residential construction business set up as the main service provider for Marvin Group property developers. NEW WORK: Rebranding a New Zealand marine technology business. Having reached a point in their growth stage, Zerojet, makers of market-leading electric-powered jet systems and engines, engaged the team at Onfire to refresh and expand the identity and brand toolbox to enable the brand to scale further in NZ and grow into overseas markets. We established the new positioning ‘Electrify your senses’ to build the refreshed brand around, focusing on the physical sensations and enjoyment to be gained by going electric.

New work: Balex is a world-first automatic boat launch and retrieval system that enables boats to have a safer, easier, and more enjoyable experience. Launched in the local market, the brand is now going global. Our work has resulted in an evolved brand and a new suite of visual assets, all inspired by the powerful high-torque hydraulic motor at the heart of the system: a truly New Zealand-made, best-in-class product.

NEW WORK: As a nation surrounded by water, boating is part of many Kiwis DNA. This passion has led to numerous world-first inventions to make boating easier, safer and enjoyable. The Balex automatic boat launching and retrieval system is one such invention. Onfire was tasked with modernising the brand. Taking design cues from the system itself, a striking new graphical system and colour palette was introduced. New comms and online presence was developed, making it easier for customers to understand the system and introduce Balex's extended product range. Say hello to something a bit special. The clever Hubbards team came up with a new twist for their Crispy Crunchy Granola range - Very Fancy chocolate-infused, dessert-inspired granola.
We were taken with the OTT indulgence, so we created packaging that equally went a little bit OTT. Rich chocolate brown, oozy orangish shapes and splashes of gold lean into dessert-style territory. Inspired by the opulence of 70’s illustrations, dreamy landscapes of ingredients and textures adorn each pack.

Launched into supermarkets, this small range of granola tops repeat purchase sales of all NPD in the category launched in the same period. We’re not surprised; these are pretty damn morish!

Established in 1960, Fakieh Poultry is the largest privately owned producer in Saudi Arabia. Following a global agency credentials pitch, Onfire were tasked with refreshing the brand and retail packaging. With a deep dive into the region's culture, history and consumer habits, the team radically redesigned the entire brand toolbox, repositioning Fakieh from manufacturer to heritage brand.

Bespoke wordmark, warm colour palette, illustration details and new product photography set up Fakieh as the go-to poultry brand for the modern Saudi consumer.
