This past weekend, we had our Alpha Weekend Away! It was a beautiful weekend full of laughter and tears, that God moved powerfully in people’s hearts

The Alpha Weekend is all about getting away from the busyness of everyday life so people can connect with each other and connect with God. It’s the part of Alpha that many people say was the turning point in their Alpha experience. We consistently see hearts more open to Jesus and lives changed. And that’s why we do it.

It's our last week of our series TOGETHER! It's been so good, right?! What has been your biggest takeaway from the series?

Some more staff news for your Monday!

Ben Lee is taking on the role of Interim Groups and Alpha Pastor for Greenlane and overseeing these areas across Gracecity. Ben has been part of our Greenlane community for two years and is often seen on stage on a Sunday, serving as a Worship Leader. Ben is married to PJ and they have two gorgeous children, Isabelle and Ezekiel. He brings years of experience in church ministry to this role.

Join us in praying for Ben and his family as he takes on this interim role and all those he will minister to as they encounter God through these amazing ministries!

"I’m Kyleigh… I've been married to my awesome husband, Jaco, since 2020. We were both born and raised in South Africa and very recently felt a pull from God to move to New Zealand.

I’ve had the privilege of being involved in full time ministry for 18 years and I've seen and experienced the hand of God and the work of His Spirit in phenomenal, life-changing ways!

Being involved in ministry is what my heart beats for, especially walking alongside youth and young adults and helping them discover the treasure God has placed inside of them, the way He loves them and the purpose He has for them.

I’m really passionate about music, playing guitar, connecting friends and family, drawing and watching home makeover shows. I’m not so passionate about Auckland traffic, but the wonderful people make up for it.

I’m so excited to have joined the Gracecity team as the Youth and Young adults pastor at the east location, and can’t wait to see the wonderful things God has instore for us."

Tomorrow, we begin our new series TOGETHER! 🎉 We will be exploring the beauty of the Church as depicted in the book of Ephesians.

To kick off the series at Gracecity East, we have Staci McLean leading us through the topic of prayer (Ephesians 1:15-23). 🙏 Over at Greenlane, Yvonne Barker is teaching us about praise (Ephesians 1:1-14). 🎶

At Gracecity, child dedications are an act of worship. It's a way of saying: “God, we love you, we thank you for the gift of this child. We recognise them as being a gift from you and the uniqueness of what they bring to our family, to our community, and to the whole world.”

It's also an initial public commitment that parents are making that they want to, by the grace of God and by the work of the Spirit, to raise their child in a way that honours God, that models Jesus, and gives their child every opportunity to know Jesus for themselves.

We are so grateful for all the children and families in our Gracecity whānau!
