Our deepest condolences to the Kenny Whānau on the passing of Michael Kenny🥲
The boxing world mourns the loss of a true champion, Michael Kenny, whose powerful presence in the ring and warm spirit outside it will be deeply missed.
This news strikes a chord of sadness throughout the community as we remember Michael's remarkable achievements as a two-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist his triumphs in the 1984 and 1990 competitions, solidifying his legacy as a force to be reckoned with in the super heavyweight division.
His dedication and commitment to the sport were evident in every fight, inspiring not just his opponents but countless aspiring athletes.
Michael's passing leaves a void far greater than the absence of a skilled boxer; it represents the loss of a kind and generous soul whose impact extended beyond the ropes.
Our hearts go out to Michael's family and loved ones, and we offer them our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
The boxing family has lost a shining star. Still, Michael's spirit and legacy will continue to resonate within the sport, serving as a reminder of the power of determination and the enduring bonds formed within the ring.
