I am loving my new found inspiration in the rich symbolism of Russian Orthodox religious icons, their profound spiritual poses with tilted head call upon emotion. Equally captivating was Tamara de Lempicka's soft cubism, with its vibrant colors and bold contrasts, igniting my passion for my current style experiment.

International Dance Day - Waltzing across Borders

Join Michael Parmenter and Kate Grace as they take you on a journey through the four great European partner-dances – Waltz, Polka, Mazurka, and Scottish.

The event is a celebration of these European partner-dances in stories, dance performance, and audience participation, with music performed by Craig Denham.

Parmenter, last year’s Caroline Plummer Fellow in Community Dance, and Grace, who runs Balfolk Dunedin have developed a following across Otago and Canterbury over the last year as they have sought to revive folk dance in the south.
