Congratulations to the following players who have been selected for the 2024 Junior Boys Interprovincials at Cambridge Golf Club.

An event that Otago has performed well at for many years, the team will be looking to go one better than their runner-up finish last year.

Congratulations to Noah Novacek for claiming his first Otago title.

Novacek took out the ANZ Private Men’s 36 Hole Championship at Wanaka Golf Club on Sunday firing rounds of 73 65 to claim the title by 5 shots.

Novacek’s 73 in the morning put him in a tie for sixth and 6 shots back of Brandon Hodgson who opened with a 67. However the magic came in the afternoon for Novacek firing the low round of the tournament, 65, in windy to conditions to earn his first win.

Men's Champions of Otago The 2024 Men's Champions of Otago was held in trying conditions over the weekend at Balclutha Golf Club.

St Clair Golf Club’s Jakob Bleach, Albie Reed and Mike Birnie came away victorious in the Gross Stableford for the 2024 Men’s Champions of Otago with a team score of 89.

North Otago Golf Club’s Kris Rush, Ivan Johnston and Josh Dalziel took out the stableford with a team score of 101.

Taj and Piper Cup The immaculately presented Lower Waitaki Golf Club played host to the annual fixture between Otago and Aorangi on Sunday, April 28th in near perfect conditions.

Congratulations to Connor Howes for winning the U19 title in the Otago Age Groups. Connor shot 73 (+1) to win by one shot over Noah Novacek.

Anahera Koni took out the U16 title by 1 shot over Raphael Anderson and Albie Reed.

Corbin Silby won the U13 stableford division with an astounding 42 stableford points!

Otago National Teams Championship Final The Otago National Teams Final was played yesterday at Alexandra Golf Club.

Otago leads the teams event after the first round at the South Island Age Groups.

Balmacewen successfully defended their title at the Dunedin Intermediate Schools tournament held on Friday at Gladfield Golf Club.

In a rolling ambrose format, Balmacewen shot 54 for 9 holes, claiming a spot in the Otago intermediate Schools Final.

Joining them will be Taieri College who came in 2nd place on a score of 58.

Golf Otago are looking for an expression of interest from players who would like to be considered for the selection of Otago Senior Men’s Representative team’s for 2024.

There will be a meeting held at 40 Logan Park Drive on Wednesday 24th April at 5.30pm for all players wanting to be considered for selection.

Ricky Kang has won the 2024 Queenstown open in dominant fashion.

Kang led the way through round one, equalling the low round of the day, with a -5 67. He then shot 69 in the second round to win by 4 shots.
