If God is who we follow, He needs to be in charge of all areas of our lives not just the ones we allow Him to control.

There are so many distractions that can sneak in and steal our quality time with God. Time with God needs to be top of our priority list. We don’t know what each day holds, but through prayer and spending time in God’s word, the Bible, we can prepare our hearts for whatever life throws at us.

We won’t find true and lasting peace from anything external. The ultimate peace that stays with us through troubles and challenges only comes when we allow God’s Holy Spirit to fill us.

The more we tune into God, the more He will work in us. As we focus our thoughts on His perfect love and look to Him for inspiration, He provides us with opportunities big and small to express His love to others.

Changes in work, marriage, family, or church can make the road seem uneven and confusing. But God makes us the promise of a steadfast path when we keep his covenant. The guidance of Jesus Christ is, in fact, steadfast!

For those of us who have chosen to accept His grace, we can be convinced that nothing will seperate us from His love. NOTHING! Our Heavenly Father loves us completely and unconditionally.

Often we are too analytical with our prayers. We think we have to make them sound fancy or humble. We can treat prayer like money: we don’t want to spend it on the wrong things. We might not be able to trust our intentions when we pray, but God sees our heart.

The Lord wants us to talk with Him in all occasions and with all kinds of prayers. Sometimes our prayer is a quick cry for help, and sometimes it is an hour-long worship session! No matter what kind of prayer, Jesus will always be present to hear you.

It is always good to have someone we can unload on without fear of rejection or criticism.

God offers himself as that person.

God is waiting for us to pour out our hearts to Him. Lay your concerns and burdens before the Lord. He is our refuge. He will take our worries and concerns and hide us away in safety.

A more simple life. A life with less clutter. A life with less to-do’s. A life where less is more. A life less busy. All of these we might desire for ourselves, and yet, we have a really hard time getting there.

It is okay to be happy with a calm life. It is okay to un-busy your very busy life. It is most definitely okay to start using the word no more often. On the other end of this very busy life, we find less stress, less anxiety, and less disappointment.
