Our Woollen Blankets history is rich and diverse throughout Aotearoa. There were 17 commercial wool mills back in the day. Manufacturer's from Kaiapoi, Roslyn, Onehunga, Napier, Omaru, Petone, to Wanganui, Mosgiel & many more.. All made here in New Zealand, from New Zealand Wool. Beautiful colour combinations & patterns.🎨

The blankets are predominantly classic 1960's, super colourful 1970's and thick quality 1980's wool blankets. A range of collectible blankets, Scout/Army blankets, travel rugs, couch throwovers and the occasional picnic rug.🔥

Love the tags on some of these vintage blankets!!😍 Some have cool little Māori images on the tags like the Onehunga Princess one has a Tiki, or the Napier tags has Pānia of the Reef on it!!🥝🔥 Meeeean!!🤓

We all grew up with these blankets, often referred to as the "itchy blankets" and it's cool to see that they're now getting the love & appreciation they deserve!!💜

In the mid 80's Kozmik was created by Paula Wallace and her business partner Chalice Malcolm in the North Shore, Auckland. Their clothing was hyper colorful and incorporated cool funky designs. They would pull up to their local beach spots and sell their 1of1 hand painted clothing out of the trunks of their cars.🎨🌊

Kozmik even made uniforms for the NZ Bobsled Team & Air New Zealand!!🤯🔥 How cool!!🙌🏽 Incorporating NZ landmarks, Kiwi aesthetics, Positive Quotes & quirky sayings into their peices. Quotes like "One World One Love" & "Clean & Green"🌐❤️ On some Captain Planet vibes.🌱🔥🌬️🌊❤️

Legendary had a huge influence on Kozmik clothing, and for most people was the first time seeing this brand, growing up watching her morning TV show "You & Me". We love Aunty Suzy Cato and we appreciate all the teachings & memories she gave us!!🥰💜

Our local legend Ra a.k.a is known for her craaazy collection and has the best curation of both KOZMIK & XTASY clothing in the game!!💎 They're definitely rare collector's items now and is sought after here in the NZ vintage scene. Timeless pieces of NZ Fashion history!!🥝🔥

𝙓𝙏𝘼𝙎𝙔:
XTASY was founded late 80s and operated here in Cambridge into the 90's. They too had that super bright and colourful aesthetic but unlike KOZMIK, their clothing was printed graphics. Using wacky typography and characters. They also added quotes and positive messages in their clothing. A couple cool ones being.. "Survival of the Fittest" & "Keep the Water Clean"🌐🌊

Xtasy clothing is definitely getting more harder to find now, along with Kozmik. We call them "Unicorns" ..if we see someone rocking KOZMIK or XTASY, it's definitely a rare sight like seeing a Unicorn in the wild.🦄✨

Established 1904, produced military uniforms during the First World War, the brand then went on to design rugby attire for our All Blacks. Some of Aotearoa's greatest sporting moments were made wearing CCC, from the 1989 Sir Peter Blake’s Steinlager 2 sailing crew, to Jonah Lomu’s performance in the 1995 Rugby World Cup, to our Warrior's NRL debut game against the Bronco’s in 1995.⛵️🏉 They released their Temex range from 1997-1999, which are very sought after jerseys now amongst collectors.💎Jonah Lomu wore the Chiefs Temex jersey 98-99!!❤️💛🖤

Canterbury is worn by a number of sports teams including the Silver Ferns, the Warriors, the Black Caps and even State of Origin. The English, Irish and South African international rugby teams also wear Canterbury. No CCC jersey had been ripped in an international match between the year’s 1967 and 2007.🤯 Its logo silhouettes three Kiwi birds creating the letters CCC; the initials of the Canterbury Clothing Company, representing the three people who founded the company.

Over the years, we've seen the rise in interest for old Canterbury jerseys. The biggest of collectors here in Aotearoa is the legendary NZ Jersey Hunter who holds a strong reputation for curating and sourcing the biggest selection of rugby & rugby league gears in the game!!🔥 More specifically One NZ Warriors gears. ..UPTHEWAHS!!♥️💚💙 From Player Worn jerseys, Team Signed jerseys to Limited Numbered jerseys. Another honorable mention is A huge CCC collector!! Bro has a unique curation of rare Japanese made Rugby & Canterbury Challenge Sailing pieces.🇯🇵🔥
