Steve and I are loving out summer adventures with the Seadoo wake pro! Yesterday we blasted over to Rakino island to stay for a couple of nights. Today we enjoyed some wonderful family time on the boat, jet ski and biscuit. I tell you I’m feeling my age tonight after the biscuit antics! Where is the deep heat muscle balm please? .⠀⠀

As I sit on the couch here, feeling the winter sickness blues and dreaming of another tropical location. New Caledonia was incredible and I highly recommend it for a tropical holiday. Don’t spend too much time on the mainland though, the islands are where it’s at! They have the most amazing beaches with the most beautiful sand and warm seas. Usually you can see turtles in most places. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat and stay a few days on each of the loyalty islands. Let me know if you’ve got any questions. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀

So I’ve been back in New Zealand a week now, and I am so missing being on holiday and specifically the isle of Pines! This place was incredibly beautiful and most of the people work in tourism and hospitality there. I wonder if they would like a Kiwi girl to work there with them 😉. Not a bad life, taking tourists around and showing them your beautiful island for two hours. I think I could live with that❤️ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀

One of the most in amazing experiences that we got to do on our recent trip to New Caledonia, was swim with Manta Rays at the Isle of Pines! I couldn’t believe how big they were and was a little scared at first thinking about it’s tail that looked like what you see on a stingray, however they a gentle creatures and are pretty harmless. once I relaxed it was the most magical and incredible experience! They seemed so peaceful swimming through the ocean looking for plankton and had some sharks 🦈 hanging out too going for a ride hahha. . Have you swam with a manta ray? How stunning is Anse Vata beach New Caladonia! It’s 32 degrees today and sadly you can’t swim here for the rest of the year due to 3 shark attacks in this area one which was fatal 😞. .⠀ .⠀⠀⠀

Spent a wonderful day with Steven Clews celebrating my birthday Hotel DoubleTree HIlton. We bravely went snorkeling despite the shark warnings closing all beaches here until December. We saw multiple turtles and one black banded snack in the water which one of us speed swam away from ! Our overwater bungalow was absolutely magic, which you’ll see more of on my Kiwi traveller story . The hotel even delighted me with a beautiful set up in the bedroom, including a small gift

Can we just take a moment to enjoy this beautiful view at Mahia Peninsula! It had been raining all day and were fortunate enough to get a break in the rain to enjoy this beautiful spot well we cooked dinner and then packed up for the night here. .⠀

Loves a good sunset! True story I used to get fantastic ones at my home until they got built out by a new house. .⠀⠀

The beaches along the East Cape are so interesting and diverse! In Tolaga bay we found iron like sands and loads of drift wood. Other locations nearby had beaches fill of shelves or stones. I loved how different it was . ⠀⠀

Te Waha o Rerekohu – the mouth of Rerekohu – is thought to be the largest pōhutukawa tree in New Zealand. At least 600 years old, it had a branch span of more than 37 metres when measured in 1950. Converting the van for our “vamping “ trip 😊

Usually we just Put the mattress on the floor of the van but this year we decided to create some extra storage with a raised bed base. It has enough room for our table, chairs bags etc and more . Then in the front we created an L shaped racking system and put plastic bins
In it to hold our food and cooking gear. On top of that is a bench top we can use for prep if n needed. it’s going to be good not to have to play Tetris with all of our stuff this year 😃

Summer is coming in New Zealand but I’m just dreaming of travelling somewhere tropical and I’m thinking of the how I’d love to go back to the Philippines 💓Philippines
