BYO Mug as often as you can! There are changes in the air with what packaging we can and cannot use, now in our smoothie bar absolutely everything we use is commercially compostable and we have the right systems to ensure our packaging is composted correctly by providing the bins to do so. However the GOVT is making some new bands to single use plastic which we are super excited about, this is including some of the commercial compostable stuff we use too, purely because not enough businesses are actually ensuring the "eco" packaging is being disposed of properly which almost defeats its purpose.
What we are encouraging all of our customers to do and to get into the habit of doing now before July 2023, is BYO mugs for coffee, jars for smoothies and straws. REUSE what you have and do your best to use less packaging.
We are happy to put your goodies into your own containers, cups, and jars, just ask our friendly staff to do so, we will even wash it too if you need it washed, don't be put off using your own cups because its not clean!
Let's do our part to use less packaging and help reduce our carbon foot print!

This is all we are aware of at the moment, however eventually it could mean our cups and lids go too , so start getting used to the idea of bringing your own cups/jars/cutlery and straws because very soon its going to be the norm everywhere in NZ π±βοΈ
