Meeanee speedway
Penn masonry boy girl challenge
Last meeting of the season was a 2 night meeting qualifying Friday finals Saturday
Night 1
Race 1:Started P21 worked my way through the field and finished 6th then got DQ for “pushing a car to the wall”
Race 2:P9 worked my way to P4 then I got givin a 2 place relegation which put me in 6th
Race 3 P3 had some good battles and grabbed the win giving me just enough points to qualify

Meeanee speedway east coast super saloon champs
Ministocks where racing as a support class for the east coast super saloons
Race 1:P8-P1 my first win at my home track we made a few adjustments to the car after the race to make it come out of the turn better
Race 2:P8-DNF I was running good racing in 3rd until the last lap and the battery decided to start smoking and lose all power
Race 3:P22-DNF i didn’t even make it out of the first corner as the car lost all power because of a battery lead issues that was not seen after the second race
Not the might I was hoping for happy with the win but hopefully we can sort the issue before HB ministock champs on the 9th of march

Oceanview 5000 has been postponed due to rain so we will be back in Whanganui on the 15th of march to have another shot at it

3 for 3!!! Overall 42pts which puts me 1st overall in qualifying in my group just a few more adjustments need to be done before tonight’s final I have grids 3,16,22 so now I just have to focus on moving forward in my races

📍Meeanee speedway
Race 1: I started off pole the car was loose and I kept drifting out wide which left a gap on my inside allowing cars to get under me finished P6
Race 2: I started 15th but I was still struggling with set up but managed to gain a few spots and finished P7 and got fastest lap of the race
Race 4: I started 13th as the track got dryer the car started hooking up nicely and started feeling better to drive gained a few places and finished P7

📍oceanview speedway
🗓️ 22/10/23
On Sunday Wilbur grandad Aiden and I headed to oceanview speedway for there opening night.
Race 1: I started grid 17 the car was feeling good and managed to move up a couple spots and finished 14th
Race 2:I started grid 4 i was going good and then unfortunately got spun by another car and got sent off the track which resulted in a dnf
Race 3: started 21st the car was feeling really good and fast and managed to move up to 6th
I’d like to thank uncle Bart Elise and Aiden for letting me have a skid in the old car since mine wasn’t ready and I’d like to thank Wilbur and grandad for towing me and Aiden for helping out.
My next meeting will hopefully be at Gisborne speedway in the new car for their opening night.

We were lucky enough to get out for practice at meeanee on Saturday the car went pretty good but there a still a few adjustments that need to be done.I want to say a big thank you to my crew Dig dig,Wilbur,Colwyn and grandad for the huge amount of work they have put into the car to get it ready for practice I couldn’t have asked for a better team.We are looking forward to our first race meeting this season wherever that may be.

The hours of work are Monday – Friday from 7am-5pm

📍Stratford Speedway
Early Saturday morning we left Napier and headed to Stratford for the Ministock spectacular it was a 2 day meeting in one so it started at 2 in the afternoon.
Qualifying
Race 1:15th-7th
Race 2:6th-3rd
Race 3:10th-6th
Finals
Race 1: 17th-11th
Race 2:7th-2nd
Race 3:8th-3rd
Which left me 3rd on points.My first podium of the season

Paradise valley speedway
10-11/2/23
Mip
On Friday grandad Colwyn Wilbur Aiden and I headed off to Rotorua speedway for my first mip (ministocks in paradise)
Night 1
qualifying night
Race 1: 13th - 6th
Race 2: 3rd got to 2nd but got put in the wall the last turn but still come back with 3rd
Race 3 15-7th
So that puts me 5th in points
Night 2
Race 1: Started dead last 26th knew I just had to pass as many cars as I could and managed to get 4th
Race 2: started 13th and worked my way up to 3rd but got relegated for apparently pushing a car all the way round the corner so that meant I finished 5th
Race 3: started pole dropped back two spots and finished 3rd
Which left me 4th on points 1 point shy of a podium but I was still happy with that being my first mip
Thanks to Wilbur Colwyn granddad for making changes and supporting me throughout both nights and to Aiden on GoPro and belt duties and big thanks to dig dig for setting up the car for the night and for the 2 and more days of putting work into getting the car ready

On Saturday night we went to meeanee speedway for the nz TQ champs at meeanee
Race 2 I started 13 in the first race and picked up a couple spots finishing in 11th
Race 3 I started back in 17th the track was really rough but managed to pick up some spots and get to 11th
Race 4 I started pole messed up my start abs went to 2nd the track was really rough I fell back to 4th then my coil broke on the last corner causing me to lose another position but still finished in 4th

On Saturday we headed to meeanee speedway for the Kevin Milne memorial
Race 1 started grid 24 and managed to finish the race in 14th
Race 2 starting grid 19 passed some cars and finished 13th
Race 3 starting grid 27 passed a good amount of cars and managed to finish in 12th.
really happy with how the car went and the track was really good
