A champion line up today of Independent Hawke's Bay winemakers assembled at La Fuente.

It was lovely to see those familiar faces from Auckland hospo making their way through the crowds to taste their wares.

The energy of these amazing humans is always off the charts, and has left me buzzing as I head home.

Our friends at Petane Wines have managed to salvage four cases of Gamay Noir from their devastated winery after Cyclone Gabriel. To show our support to those affected, we will be donating $10 per glass and $70 per bottle directly to the Esk Valley Community Fund.

I’m sure you have heard about a little Cyclone called Gabrielle and the destruction she brought to the Esk Valley, Hawkes Bay.
Squarely in the path of that destruction was the home of , and their Cellar Door Restaurant, . To put it simply, they were left with Nothing.
So we’re giving them Something.
Starting this Saturday, April 22 we’re giving them the keys to for the next 3 weekends. That’s Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch and dinner. See previous post for more info.
