To Graham Price and Honda employees,

In August 2023 The Marlborough Community Vehicle Trust (MCVT) had obtained funding from the Rata Foundation and the Lotteries Commission to assist with the purchase of replacement vehicles. Our aging fleet had two older cars best described as “clunkers” with over 300,000 km on their odometers. The Board voted to form a procurement team with the instruction that they were to obtain the best value for money and find a vehicle that would reduce our increasingly expensive fuel bill.
Honda Nelson were the first to reply in a positive manner. The team reported to the Board and were authorised to proceed with the best purchase they could negotiate. In a short space of time Honda had promised a very good deal with 2 Honda Vezels, the last of which was delivered in November 2023.
A fair comparison between the clunkers and the Vezels would be that of Norah Batty from Last of the Summer Wine and the current Miss World. Our drivers have now become sophisticates who are not afraid to state their preferences. The cars were displayed at our recent drivers function and I had to warn several of our drivers to cease drooling and dribbling over our new cars.
The Customer Service aspect of the Honda Dealership has been exemplary. All enquiries have been met with a considered response and we are signed up for an extended service and warranty period.
In every way, Honda Nelson have exceeded our expectations. We look forward to developing our current relationship which has been built on strong foundations and mutual respect. Honda has now been accredited as one of our sponsors.
