Due to the abandonment of the Sinclair Electrical and Refrigeration Opunake Cup at New Plymouth on Saturday, the event has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 23rd, at Hawera Racecourse Egmont Racing Club.

Admission is free, and the first race will begin at 12:17 PM

Taranaki Racing Inc. wishes to advise that the decision to abandon today’s race meeting was made by the Racing Integrity Board (RIB).

We are absolutely disheartened by this outcome and deeply regret any inconvenience caused to all parties involved, who have put in significant effort and resources for today's event.

We understand the disappointment this decision brings and share in the frustration felt by everyone who was looking forward to today's races

❗️New Plymouth Races Abandoned ❗️
After an inspection of the track this morning by the RIB the meeting at New Plymouth today has been abandoned. There has been 19mm of rain overnight resulting in a water-logged track with further rain predicted.


All corporate tickets will be refunded and our team will be in touch shortly for this process.
