Iyengar Yoga New Plymouth

Big news: I've just signed a lease on a commercial premise in the centre of New Plymouth. I'll be using it as my architectural offices, but there is also a larger room I will be using for our yoga studio!

Next week (Monday 10 June and Thursday 13 June 2024) will be the last two classes at EESLSC, then from Monday 17 June 2024 classed will be at 46 Egmont St, NP (above The Engravers).

I'll increase the class duration to 1.5 hours, but have no intention to change the cost from $15 for the rest of the year, anyway.

Just a reminder that since Monday 3 June 2024 is a public holiday (King's Birthday - that still sounds weird, right?!?) there will be no class. Enjoy your morning off!

Taranaki gets a holiday next Monday 11 March, 2024 - YIPPEE!!!

Just a reminder that there won't be a Monday class on Taranaki Anniversary Day, enjoy the day and take some time to appreciate what an awesome province we live in!

Thursday's class will be on as usual.

Classes are starting again on Monday 8 Jan 2024, still at the East End Surf Life Saving Club. $15/class.

Monday 9.00-10.15am all levels
Thursday 5.30-6.45pm experienced level

The main difference in the levels of the classes is that Thursdays we usually do inversions every week (headstand, shoulder stand, etc) so if you have been coming a while or just want to see what the next level is like feel free to come along. Not suitable for beginners, however.

Xmas is fast approaching! The last class of the year will be Thursday 14 December 2023.

At this stage I'm looking at resuming in 2024 on Monday 8 January.

Next Monday 27 November 2023 the hall is booked out all day so class is cancelled unfortunately!

Sorry team, the Surf Club has something on this Thursday 2 November and the venue is unavailable so the class is cancelled. See you next week!

There will be no class next Monday, Labour Day. Why not try 15 minutes of yoga at home? 😀

Unfortunately the All Levels class on Monday 3 April has been cancelled - I’m in Auckland for Synthony and it’s been put back to Sunday due to the weather. Sorry!

Class today Thursday 26/01/2023 cancelled. Sorry, the venue is unavailable and I was advised at the last minute.

Due to a pre-existing booking at the East End Surf Life Saving Club there will be no class next Thursday evening (01 December 2022).

Want to give Iyengar Yoga a try? This style of yoga suits all ages and abilities, and is great for both men and women. We can adapt the practice and poses if you have injuries or conditions that require consideration. Flexibility is not a requirement!
