Cakes are a cute size, think 6-8 slices for someone to share…or not! To order, send a direct message through our Instagram or messenger and we’ll do our best to work through them. There will be a limited number (you’ve seen our kitchen 😂😅), so it will be a first in first served basis.

👋 Hi everyone! Third Wheel will be operating in 🪟 Coffee Window 🪟format starting tomorrow (Thursday) 8am-2pm through to Tuesday 6th Feb. This is the first time we’ve been able to do this with all three wheels away for one of the three wheels to get married 🤍, and we feel pretty stoked.

Come on down and support the lovely ladies and gent 🙌 Ella will be pouring epic for you, and there’ll be a broader than usual window selection of freshly baked goods from Dougie and the lovely Mel!! We’re so proud of our team.

Weekdays = 8am til 2pm
Weekends = 8am til 12 noon

(Don’t worry Paihia, we’ll post some pics of our gorgeous wheel in her dress)

Serving you 7 days a week is pretty awesome, AND being able to find the balance to give ourselves and our team some downtime is the icing on the cake. A huge thank you to everyone who made this happen 🙌

First Third Wheel wedding of the season ❤️‍🔥

It’s been a while between posts but we’ve been keeping busy…with this beauty 🤩💛☕️🚲

We’ve spent winter brainstorming ways to grow our lovely business with , and having lots of fun building new things with our Handy Andy! This summer (okay this SUNDAY cos it’s already feeling like SUMMER!), we’ll be bringing you coffee from this slick little operation!

What you need to know:

🔆 We’re making this wicked coffee bike into a coffee window for the weekends - a creative way to open for our coffee-thirsty friends on a manageable scale!
🔆 It will still be in the lane! Right at the entrance to Third Wheel.
🔆 Outdoor seating will be available as usual!
🔆 Goods served will be takeaway coffee and some muffins 😁
🔆 Hours will be 8am-noon; keep an eye on our social media for the first few weekends we’ll be up and running.

So come on down to Third Wheel this sunny Sunday to visit Tom and have a WEEKEND !

Just over here keeping up with the latest cake trends 🤪 Genevieve made a LEMON MERINGUE INSPIRED SLAB CAKE today and it was 🤌🤌🤌

For all the 🧀 lovers out there, every day we be making cheese scones (usually jalapeño!) and our beautiful cheese & silverbeet muffins.

After 5 pretty intense years of mahi into our beautiful business, we feel it’s time to even out our work/life balance!

After this weekend, we’re going to make Third Wheel a Monday to Friday business for its next chapter.

This is for a few reasons, but predominately we want to spend time with our loved ones. We live in an amazing place with so much to offer and we want to enjoy life’s next season with our growing whānau.

This Saturday 28th May will be our last Saturday for a while, so come on down for a last hurrah! 8am-1pm we are OPEN.

We thank you ALL for your unwavering support, we so look forward to bringing you perfection every weekday 8am-2pm ❤️‍🔥 same us, just epic Mondays instead of Saturdays 😘😘

Like you, we have been deeply saddened at the devastation caused by Cyclone Gabrielle. are desperate for donations so we thought, what a better way to do our part in raising money by baking a cake and raffling it off.

Tickets can be purchased from the Cafe for $10, with all proceeds going towards NZ Red Cross.
