The Next Chapter.

Incase you missed our story, or have just discovered the vision👋🏼
Today marks a wonderful progression. Sharing with immense pride that PERA MAY, for the foreseeable future will be ceasing all clothing production.

This is something that witnessing first hand, (even as a smaller conscious producer) is not helping enough to aid solutions towards our climate change and consumerism crises.

On a more personal note, I could not consciously continue in a space that is not fit for its purpose anymore.
As a ‘creative being’ who finds so much pleasure in creating expression-able clothing, this was a hard decision to come to.
As a ‘human being’ who feels more for the Planet and Humanity than her personal passion of designing, this was an easy decision.
Sometimes you’ve just gotta put an alternative hat on, in a familiar environment. Feels uncomfortable, looks odd but soon enough it fits just right, in fact it fits like it was made for just for you…

Having said that there’s no need to be sad, we’re not fully breaking up!
💔 We will continue to explore creative moments, to inspire conscious movements ❤️‍🔥Starting by developing a circular-ecosystem to explore and create within.

Please know that however these creations emerge, that they will do so in their purest form. Offering purposeful, circular alternatives or methods to improve the current state of creation and consumption.

It is my call to action that the future of design and consumerism will be lead with connection, unity and deep respect towards our Planet and the evolution of the Human Race.

It’s been a blessing and a joy sharing this chapter with you all thank you for being such a special part of it, and I look forward, with much excitement towards what will follow.

Some thoughts I’ve been having;

Connection - how do we connect more with what we consume. Why do we consume what we choose to consume?
And what does that show us about our patterning as human beings!?

How can we care for/continue to love that product long past the initial honey moon phase!?! How can we be more present when choosing to collect something new?

Products, no matter what they are hold their own space/purpose within this world. When we collect creations along our lifecycle we actively take responsibility (whether consciously or unconsciously) to carry those pieces with us, igniting joy or expression along our journey! When we disconnect from that responsibility the beauty of creation and it’s value is lost.

This is why PERA MAY exists. A vision, an exploration into new perspectives. What if we all considered everything that we have collected over the years - the impact that each creation has had (good and not so good) and how we can treasure those creations, taking responsibility for as long as they exist!
The truth is, we don’t need more we just need to value and connect with the abundance that we already have 🌬️🌎

When we slow down and focus our energy on an individual moment or object, we are able to remove the noise and see it for what it truly is, through our own distinct vision.

The relationship that one person will have with an object/artwork is completely unique and treasured. Not one other human will have that exact same experience.
