DANPHE CRICKET CLUB - BOP vs. Nepal Rhino Cricket Club - Auckland

Today's Game was held in Tauranga, Danphe Cricket Club emerged victorious against Nepal Rhino Cricket Club by 9 runs.

Winning the toss, we chose to bat first but faced a shaky start. Our captain, Ajit, did his best to stabilize the innings, but wickets fell at regular intervals, putting us in a tough spot. Despite the challenges, Bimal played a fantastic knock of 19 runs, helping us reach a total of 83, we were all out in just 21 overs.

The real magic happened with the ball. Bivek was the star of the show, taking a wicket with his second delivery. The Rhinos struggled to find their footing against our relentless bowling attack. Bivek and Ajit delivered an absolute gem of an Opening spell, while Aarish showcased his spinning wizardry, and Gajendra and Raj held Their ground with patience.

Bivek's spell was a game changer, claiming 4 wickets and even breaking a stump along the way. Bowling unit's clever bowling, combined with sharp fielding and Bikash's quick work behind the stumps, secured our win.

Overall, it was a brilliant display of bowling and fielding from the Danphe boys. A huge shoutout to the entire team for their hard work and dedication! Let’s keep the momentum going.

Danphe CC vs. Bay Blaster

Sunday, Danphe CC faced Bay Blaster, who opted to bat first after winning the toss. It was a dream start for Danphe as Bivek made an immediate impact, clean bowled two batsmen with his first two deliveries. Excellent bowling from Raj and Bikash, who took 3 and 2 wickets respectively, Bivek end up finishing with 4 wickets in total, sharp Bowling from Sam and Bikram too. Bay Blaster struggled throughout their innings, managing only 168 runs in 26.3 overs.

In reply, Danphe CC's opening pair, Ajit and Madan, set the tone with an impressive 115-run partnership. Ajit scored a brilliant 56 runs, while Madan contributed a solid 44. Radhe chipped in with a handy 21 runs, and Bimal and Aarish provided the finishing touches with 14 and 12 runs, respectively.

Danphe CC chased down the target comfortably, finishing at 171 for 3 in just 16.3 overs, sealing a convincing victory by 7 wickets. Bivek's exceptional bowling and the explosive opening stand were the highlights of the match, showcasing Danphe CC's dominance throughout.

Danphe has triumphed in the Laliguras Cup, taking home the trophy with a Clean sweep over Gurkha Crusaders.

Danphe Cricket Club Completes a Clean Sweep in LALIGURAS Cup.

We're thrilled to announce that Danphe Cricket Club has secured a dominant 3-0 victory in the series by winning the third and final game of the LALIGURAS Cup.

After losing the toss and being invited to bowl first, our standing captain, Bimal, made strategic decisions with a clear mindset, knowing the series was already in our favor. With a brilliant all-around bowling effort, supported by some sharp fielding, we bundled out Gurkha Crusaders for just 155.

Our chase began with a shaky start, but Ajit stood tall, anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 70. Bikash chipped in with a valuable 27, and Ranjan contributed a crucial 13 to guide us to victory.

A special shoutout to Ajit, who has been our biggest asset throughout the series. His unbeaten 70 in this match earned him the Man of the Match award, making it three in a row!

This year's LALIGURAS Cup has been swept clean by the Danphe team, and we couldn't be prouder of our boys.

It's been an amazing series, and today marks the Final day of the LALIGURAS Cup. With the series already in our pocket, Danphe Cricket Club takes the field with nothing to lose. Gurkha Crusaders, on the other hand, are playing for pride and will be determined to finish strong.

DANPHE Cricket Club secured another dominant victory in second game of the LALIGURAS CUP 2024, achieving an incredibly easy win against the Gurkha Crusaders. The opposition struggled to handle DANPHE's bowling attack and were bowled out for just 95 runs.

Ajit was the star of the day, taking four wickets and leading the chase with the bat, scoring 36 runs, including four sixes.

DANPHE chased down the target in under 10 overs, with Ajit earning the Man of the Match award for his outstanding all-round performance.
