We’ve all heard “You are what you eat”
At the middle stage of life most of us dont consume enough protein and fibre. Eat too much sugar and now Eating for your your hormones is a whole new level of awakening and also acknowledging what needs to drop out of your diet as it no longer sustains or supports you 🧡🍑🍊
It’s been suggested that we need 1.0-1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight** per day, depending on activity level. Spread intake evenly throughout the day.
This approach helps maintain **muscle mass, bone density, and overall health** during the transition.🤔

In Ayurvedic medicine, marma points are anatomical locations in your body where a concentration of life energy exists. Marma points are said to contain the three doshas:
vata (air and space)
kapha (earth and water)
pitta (fire and water)
These doshas are believed to be linked to your physical and emotional well-being.
Like traditional Chinese acupuncture, Ayurvedic medicine believes that stimulation of the marma points can improve your physical and mental health.
It’s also believed that injury to the marma points can result in negative health effects in the body and in some cases, further injury and even death.
Location of marma points
It’s said that there are 107 marma points in various locations around the human body:
11 marma points in your limbs
26 marma points in your trunk
37 marma points in your head and neck region
33 marma points located elsewhere in your body
I will be spending some time relearning this modality, and remembering this medicine that quite literally changed my life some 24 years ago

Exciting new tool in my kite for massage therapy. It’s a tool called a Kansa wand and is designed for marma or pressure points. In Ayurvedic medicine the larger end for neck / shoulders. The other end for marma points. I studied Ayurveda some 24 years ago. I’ve been feeling the call to come back to this modality.. All my notes got lost in a garage flood so I’ll start again.. Great shop online is the Ayurveda Store.. I do miss popping into shops that sell Ayurvedic products.. So online it is! Back in the day I would visit a shop on K Rd in Auckland and muse at the products, saris, incense .. mmm how time flies and how it also returns … here to remember those times .. studying at Wellpark .. Amazing knowledge to experience 🙏🏼🥰

Healing to be you
How does one begin on the healing journey?
Mine began with the desire to feel whole, to learn about mind, body connection.
I accidentally fell into massage therapy if I'm honest. My first interest was in healing herbs, Yoga practices and wellbeing. I intially enrolled in Naturopathy. As I began my course, it seemed too general, not quite filling my basket. So I changed my course to Ayurvedic Medicine. Wow! life changing, specific and I related to it. I also trained in Yoga, which is the sister science to Ayurveda. They both go together perfectly, as healing modalities.
As I progressed through the course, Massage was introduced. I fell in love with the feeling of massage. I hadn't even experienced one until my course. I felt like a natural at it and had amazing feedback, which really boosted my confidence.
