In November 1994 Circa moved to its new premises at 1 Taranaki Street, next door to Te Papa. Today we celebrate 30 years of art and live theatre. ✨

Circa Theatre opened with a stunning production of Tony Kushner’s 'Angels In America', directed by Susan Wilson which won many awards at that year’s Chapman Tripp Wellington Theatre Awards. 🎭

Angels in America featured Wellington Theatre royalty, the late Ray Henwood & Michele Amas, Jonathan Hendry, Bruce Philips, Peter Hambleton and Tim Strong.

Join us in celebrating the rich history of Circa and its first show in the new building.
