I'm glad I chose Veronica design life as the name for the shop, which opened 4 years ago. The only other contender at the time was Foment, which means 1. to instigate or stir up (trouble, sedition, etc) 2 a. to bathe with warm or medicated liquid b. apply warmth to.
Latin Fomentum 'poultice, lotion' from fovere 'heat, cherish'
I think all 15 artists selling here are doing just that.

These 100% beeswax candles are made by Herman in Waipukurau. Have you ever seen candles as bowls? They come in 4 sizes and don't themselves melt, but the inner candle does and can be replaced! Bowls glow and add more honey aroma.

Relationship breakdown at potters' association over d***o workshop A ceramic d***o-making workshop has resulted in a relationship breakdown in the senior ranks of a capital-based potters’ association.

I had amazing interactions with 2 customers today. One, Japanese, I think, the other, New York City born. It was all about tee shirts. Creating something from a picture on one hand, and on the other, 'Avant-gardener' intially, leading to her paying for 2 test-print tee shirts. I sold a test-print tee during the Open Studios.... what does this mean?

The Newtown Fair was recently postponed (to Sunday 11th April) so we're doubly thrilled to be part of the upcoming Newtown Open Studios week-end, Saturday 20th, 21st March (2-7pm) & Monday 22nd, 5-7pm. There's a map to guide you around 17 artists' open workshops and studios. The popular nice assets pottery that we sell has an open studio too, all for salel!
