Club champs pairs won by Jimmy Madden and Dave Pearce and triples by Jimmy Madden, Dave Pearce and Stu McLatchie - and Jimmy won the singles!
Club awards went to Jimmy as Club person of the year; Cheri Davidson as Club Ambassador; Annette McCluskey as Most Improved Player and Cheri and Dennis Davidson received the Presidents Trophy

All quiet on the bowling club front as we work through Level 2. We agreed not to re-open the Green which will allow the winter maintenance programme to get a head start. The Club is in a comfortable situation to weather the Covid 19 effects and we look forward to coming out the other side. Keep safe.
Community bowls is all wrapped up for the season .... in the knick of time.
Its been a fantastic season with 15 teams attending and some signing up as members. It's growing every year as the local Eastbournians get on board.

Rod Mulhollands team of Zart, Ian and Peter lead the final most of the way with some great lead bowls from Peter Redaway and Ian Miller. Jimmy's team kept plugging away though to creep in front with a few ends to go. Congrats.

Wellington Centre Singles this weekend and although we had several entries Margaret Connolly has continued to power through her opponents. She is playing tomorrow at Island Bay at 10.00 in the semi finals. Come.and support her at Island Bay if you can. Go Margaret!!!!!!! Extra post. They played another round yesterday and unfortunately Marg lost but sounds like a great game. Well done again Marg.

The weather was perfect, the music was well selected and the green was full. Some top notch bowling out there creating a close fight for first prize.
Kaaren Guilford- Johnsonville, Hayden Frew -Featherston, Janelle Frew - Featherston and Leah McKenzie - Featherston took out 1st place with four wins and the most ends.
Hayden won the $50 Lone star voucher in the main corner to corner with Seamus, Finbar and Chris Rintoul winning spot prizes in other corner to corners.

Congratulations to Jimmy Madden and Scott (Sid) Roddick on winning the Wellington champ of champ pairs played at Hutt bc. It was a final that came down to the wire against Rob Ashton and Grant Wakefield from Johnsonville. Well done boys.
Well done to Cheri, Malesha, Hayley and Sheryl for their great performance in the Wellington fours champ of champs in coming runners up to Upper Hutt in the final.
Rod, Graham, Bruce and Matt also performed well by making the semi of the men's.

Our McArthur Henry team on Sunday at Hutt Bowling club. They are happy to have won 3 out of 5 games. Great effort team. There's always next year!!!!!
Due to a clash of several events we have postponed our tournament until the 16th Feb. Thank you to those team that entered for this weekend and we hope to see you in February.

With great sadness we need to let you all know of the passing of our beloved John McFarlane affectionately known to us as Macca.
His service will be held at the Sports and Services club on Friday 28th at 3pm.
Our sincere condolences to Florence and all of the McFarlane family, Macca will be greatly missed.
