Teacher Development Aotearoa - for kaiako, by kaiako 30/09/2021

We have embarked on a rebranding journey over the last few months, to refresh our visual identity, name and logo in a way that honours our 75 year history and better represents who we are, what we value and what we do.

Our new koru logo is inspired by Aotearoa, is reminiscent of the ribs of a waka reflecting our professional learning journeys, and overall, reflects our strong belief in growing connections and communities.

It is with absolute pleasure we can share with you that, formerly TRCC (Teachers Refresher Course Committee, we are now….

“It is with regret that The Maths Conference scheduled for the October school holidays will no longer happen face to face. Teachers who have registered are asked to complete a survey questionnaire indicating preference for holding as face to face conference next year or going ahead with a virtual conference.

The survey is open until Sunday 12th September.”

Podcasts Archives - TRCC 02/06/2020

It is with enthusiam that TRCC shares a series of 6 podcasts and accompanying lesson summaries entitled "Inviting our tamariki back to everday school life".

Devised and presented by Charles Bisley, together with his colleagues Danielle Sanders, Judy Norton, Juliet Cottrell and Libya Munn, these podcasts present engaging activity, mixing drama and literacy, and are designed for children between 3-13+ years old.

Their kaupapa is to recognise each child- their pono and their ability to whakamana, and to offer them creative ways to express their experiences, both ups and downs. This way of learning strengthens ako relationships, and builds a culture of hauora; it is particularly relevant as children find their way back to everyday school life after lockdown.

They are designed to complement other drama resources, such as those provided by Drama New Zealand for their members, and those on Te Rito Toi.

Follow the link below to listen to the Podcasts.
