Some clever networks of conductive paint have been hidden beneath the surface of our animal boxes... try placing the palm of your hand on each animal to activate the circuit and listen to the sounds that come out!

We had so much fun welcoming in the first tamariki to explore PlayHQ's new play activation today. This space is all about exploring with your senses and seeing what you can discover 👁️👂🖐️
The return of the slide was a big hit, as were our goodie bags for the first 50 tamariki through the doors! 🛝🛍️

DJ Marika Pratley will be bringing Topsy Turvy alive with her tamariki tunes. Marika first started recording her debut album while pregnant, and has been making beats in Pōneke for 5 years and experimenting with baby gigs since 2023. Her tunes are inspired by retro 80s synthpop, chiptunes, vaporwave, bubblegum pop and hip hop.

Introducing our July school holiday programme! For ages 8-13 we have the ever-popular 3D Game Design, plus a NEW workshop, Advanced Game Design hosted by Joe Chang from Kids Game Dev.
For tamariki aged 6-8 we have Code-Making and Breaking, where they learn about different codes and ciphers then create their own secret messsages.
