Martinborough Golf Club
Established over 100 years ago, our Golf Club has mature trees, well-kept greens and fairways and is a full 18 hole, par 72 course, 5546 metres in length.
The clubrooms are currently being rebuilt - temporary facilities are in place. 18 Hole Golf Course welcomes all affiliated and non-affiliated players. We suggest checking the calendar on our web page to confirm times.
The reviews are in - you are LOVING it! We are getting repeat orders on the 2017 Sei Cento Pinot Noir and we have raised $4,500 so far. Let's keep this going by ordering your own wine, and sharing the link with family and friends.
It is such a win/win - buy delicious wine and $20 a bottle goes to our new clubrooms and community facility.

Ta-dah! At the start of this afternoon's fabulous walkthrough, here is a video of the new 19th!
Huge thanks to Kitchener's and P&K Martinborough for supporting our day - you guys rock big time!
And, thanks to Holmes Construction for accommodating us and to everyone for coming and contributing so very generously. 💚
Are you coming to the Thursday walkthrough of our new clubhouse? These could be *yours - thanks to our wonderful mates at Kitchener's.
Exciting scratching times ahead for someone. 😝
*you’ll need a raffle ticket!!
Gah-lorious day for golf.
It takes a village - check out our (handsome) firewood crew. Sixteen hardy members turned up on Wednesday - a huge volume of firewood was cut and split ready for summer sales. Special thanks to Craig Oldfield, Phil Reid and the Wilkinson family for the use of their machinery, which we very much needed and appreciated. And to Michael Bing our green keeper who made way for us with his preparation.
Superhero award goes to Bindy McLeod who managed to knock out an amazing smoko before heading to Riversdale for her own full on day of 27 holes of golf!
💚💚💚

We're pretty stoked at the uptake of our wine fundraiser - $2,200 raised towards our new clubhouse on the first day. - We're especially enjoying the support we've had from the wider Wellington Golf Inc and Miramar Golf Club network. Keep sharing the links around people!
Sei Cento Wine Created from just six hundred molly-coddled vines (Sei Cento is Italian for 600), a maximum of just 600 bottles of this luscious Pinot Noir are released each year.
Woooo hooo - exciting news! We have the ultimate win/win - you can buy some tasty Pinot Noir from Sei Cento and a whopping $20 from every bottle sold goes to our new clubhouse fund.
Enjoy wine and help us out - what could be better?

(and follow it up with a hearty roast Union Square Bistro & Bar )
Did you know that we have FREE GOLF for members of Miramar Golf Club and our members can play there for free too.
How awesome is that?

See you soon here or there!
Our thanks to Craig Pope Financial for supporting our club for so long - if you want to re-mortgage, finance a build, or buy your first home he is a great person to talk to.
He also has a ton of advice on his blog: https://www.craigpopefinancial.co.nz/
Not sure he can save you from going out of bounds on #3, but he might keep you straight in the world of money.
Amazing sprint on the roof of our clubhouse today ahead of tomorrow’s forecast rain (while some of us were, ah-hem, golfing). Great effort Holmes Construction
Watch out for a
Forget powerball - we're talking very good odds, and three chances to win!
We have two artworks and a beautiful bird feeder in a new raffle if you're feeling lucky, or just plain generous (it's all fund raising!).
Thanks to local artist Angela Busby (who has exhibited at many places including Ara Toi) and clever BernadetteandRichard Pither (well, specifically Richard), we have two beautiful wooden artworks, and a birdfeeder with a very local (wine) theme, that we are currently raffling.
Tickets are available from the office at $10 each, and there will be three draws made on the 12 July.
(or course if you did win Powerball and you're looking for a local charity to support ....)
How great do these limestone rocks look in our garden?
Our huge thanks to the team from Pakohe Lime Co Ltd for donating these three massive rocks, and to the team at Martinborough Transport Ltd for getting them to us (no mean feat!).
This is the start of some new landscaping work that our incredible members (mostly the Wednesday Women) are doing.
We are so grateful....
It takes a village …. Meet the firewood gang - they’ve been busy splitting, sawing, chopping, piling, trucking, delivering, and telling stories, no doubt!
These guys are behind a massive task of felling older trees and turning them into firewood as part of our fundraising activities. If you are buying firewood, then do get some from us, and warm yourself twice: with the wood burning; and the feeling of helping us with our new clubhouse venture. 🔥❤️🔥❤️

Our heartfelt thanks to the lads - Replanting and tree regeneration is another story!
Yay to our latest hole sponsor Paterson & Co - Martinborough - check out this fancy sign on No 8. How good would this look outside your house - esp with a big fat SOLD sign on it!
If you aren't in Martinborough and fancy a house close to the golf course check out their current offerings: https://www.patersonandco.nz/buy?search=&city=south+wairarapa&suburb=south+wairarapa-martinborough -section
Big thanks to Kate and team, continuing the great support her late father gave to our club - much appreciated.
Big shout out to our favourite folks on the pump BP2go Martinborough. They have sponsored our golfing score cards, so do thank them for us next time you’re filling up.
(Also check out their reward scheme, our bar gal Tracy recently won $4,000 of fuel!! Better than a hole in one!)
Who’s up for starting king’s birthday early with a warm-up game of golf - 17 deg forecast tomorrow - literally dozens of tee slots free, sunshine and almost no wind.
Be rude not to.
FROST! When we have a frosty morning, we delay all tee start times until after 9:30. That's because walking on a frosty green causes damage which can take months to repair - take a look at the photo below. That's the kind of damage that can (unwittingly) be done. So, be aware of the weather, if in doubt call the office.
If necessary take a moment to enjoy a coffee at our lovely supporter Kitchener's.
Yes, those Eketahuna Golf Club gals are impressive! Well done, and nice to see ours out there in the new caps - looking smart!
Anyone lost this “precious” - it’s at the office 💖
Great day out in the course today:
Best grandma was Marie Scrimshaw
Best Grandpa was Richard Pither
And the Ngahau Trophy - a prize for the hardworking committee and staff was donated by June & Guy Hume and was presented by their daughter Jane:
Women’s winner Nicola J Warren
Men’s winner Andy Morrison (also the birthday boy - thanks for the cake!)
Our hardworking captains - well deserved to you both!
Big congrats all around - the Wellington region can be proud of all these teams.
As well as our Div10 win, our green shirted men got second in div 2 - which is a seriously impressive effort at a very high level of golf. Well done teams!
Big ups to our Interclub lads on Saturday - they are hovering tauntingly near the top. The play so far has been incredible. Go the green shirts! We are with you. 💚💚💚💚💚
(Second in Division 2 by 1/2 a point! And um, well, at the top of Div 10 by a wee bit…)
All the best to the Mens Interclub teams playing their final round of Interclub on Saturday. Lots of silverware on the line🖤💛🏌♂️😎
