Cheryl Spain and Yvonne Trask from The Gift Trust team had a whirlwind trip to Dunedin this week to host an event and meet with some old friends and exciting new connections. It was wonderful to see our local donors and to hear two of them tell their story of giving at our evening gathering. It was a very special event and we can't thank them enough for agreeing to speak. And no visit to Dunedin can be discussed without the importance of John the Shar-pei from our new favourite cafe, Maggies, a true Dunedin icon.

About us
We all want to make a difference in the world. Perhaps there's a cause or an organisation thats special to you. Perhaps giving back is a family tradition, or you want to start a new family tradition of giving. Perhaps you've had good fortune in your life and now the time is right for you to give something back to those less fortunate.
Whatever the reason, The Gift Trust makes it easy for you to give to the causes you care about, efficiently and effectively. We can help you rethink when, why and how you give. We can work with you to create a proactive, strategic approach to your donations, rather than simply donating to things when you are asked.
You'll want a trusted partner who understands you and your giving goals and can help connect your good fortune to people and organisations with world changing ideas. The Gift Trust has been working with donors since 2009 to help them create the difference they want to see in the world.
The Gift Trust is a small, dynamic team that provides a tailored and personal service to donors. We provide basic research on the charities you care about to check they are well run, are maintaining their charitable status and look financially viable. We also provide advice on how to give more effectively using a variety of grant options, provide anonymity on donations, provide insight into what your favourite charity's needs might be, and report back on the impact of your donations, all while covering a full range of compliance and administration services under our charitable umbrella.
