It was an incredible evening at the Costume Designers Guild Awards celebrating who received the Career Achievement Award for her iconic work on countless projects including Avatar and Titanic.

6 years (almost 1/4 of my career!) has been spent working closely with Deb Scott to help bring her vision to life. I can't WAIT for the world to see our work 💙

Since 2017, Wētā Workshop has collaborated closely with Costume Designer, Deborah Scott, on : The Way of Water. Our entire workshop, but especially our concept artists and hand-craft artisans, spoke with Deb almost daily for over five years to bring the costumes you’ll see in the film into reality.

Watching the premiere, we were all so proud when Deb walked the blue carpet, wearing the necklace we made for her in 2018 to celebrate our 1-year anniversary. It’s been an honour, and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, to celebrate four more anniversaries together since then.

From all of us at the Workshop, we wish Deb the warmest congratulations. We have been moved to see how she has brought the work to life so beautifully.
