Montaña de Colores Vinicunca

La Montaña de Colores Palcoyo, ubicada en la región de Cusco, es una alternativa menos conocida pero igualmente impresionante a la Montaña Arcoíris. A diferencia de Vinicunca, Palcoyo tiene un acceso más fácil y una caminata menos exigente, lo que la hace ideal para aquellos que prefieren una experiencia más suave pero igualmente impactante. Los colores de Palcoyo son el resultado de minerales en la tierra que crean una mezcla de tonos sorprendentes, que van desde el verde esmeralda hasta el rojo y el amarillo.

La Montaña de colores Vinicunca está rodeada de una asombrosa belleza natural, esta montaña muestra sus colores a los viajeros de todo el mundo en un manto de arcoiris. Conocida como Rainbow Mountain o Vinicunca -montaña de colores- en la lengua nativa de Perú, está formada por el sedimento de varios minerales coloridos diferentes: turquesa, lavanda, dorado y otros.

La Montaña de los Siete Colores de Palcoyo es una gran opción si no se siente en forma para realizar largas caminatas pero desea apreciar paisajes increíbles. A diferencia de la ruta al Vinicunca, la caminata es fácil (solo 30 minutos por caminos planos). La visita a Palcoyo está permitida para personas de cualquier edad: desde niños hasta adultos mayores. Se recomienda a los adultos mayores no tener problemas de salud del corazón.

¿Cual es la diferencia entre una Llama y una Alpaca?

EL TAMAÑO: La llama es más grande que la alpaca, puede alcanzar 1.8 metros y hasta 170 kilos como media. La alpaca, en cambio, oscila de 1.2 a 1.5 metros, mientras que su peso va 48 a 84 kilos.

OREJAS: Las orejas de las llamas son más largas y se dice que tienen forma de “plátano”. Por el contrario, las orejas de las alpacas son cortas y puntiagudas.

PELAJE: El pelaje de la Llama es delgado y menos uniforme. La lana de este animal es valorada en la elaboración de indumentaria local, ideal para las bajas temperaturas y el pelaje de la Alpaca es más grueso y resistente, por lo que se suele usar con frecuencia en la industria textil.

Montaña de Colores o simplemente Vinicunca se debe a "una compleja historia geológica de sedimentos marinos, lacustres y fluviales". Estos sedimentos, transportados por el agua que antes cubría la zona, datan de entre los periodos terciario y cuaternario, es decir, de hace unos 65 a dos millones de años.

Cada Deidad tiene un apelativo y su propia historia que habla de su poder y de su espíritu. El Apu más poderoso es el Ausangate, conocido también como el “creador de las aguas”.

Ollantaytambo fue el sitio donde los Incas tuvieron una victoria sobre los españoles en la época de la invasión. Fue Manco Inca, quien lideró al ejército rebelde inca quien pudo detener el avance los españoles al inundar los campos de cultivo.

El Valle Rojo está ubicado a 30 minutos de la Montaña de Colores Vinicunca. Se trata de un lugar con impresionantes montañas de formaciones naturales, para muchos viajeros más impresionante que la montaña de colores.

The origins of Chinchero are lost in the mists of time. There are vestiges that date from approximately two thousand years ago. The first inhabitants of the region were the Ayarmacas who, when the first Cusco governors arrived, defended their territory and offered serious resistance before being incorporated into the empire.
